I’ve not been following you long and not been doing nails long but I love how many videos you post of yourself doing full sets. I really learn so much just watching others do application and you’re fab. Plus I’m literally doing some sort of glitter French ombré design tonight and was trying to decide what to do when this video popped up so I’m going to attempt it myself! Thank you for the inspiration 😍

Lorna, this set is absolutely gorgeous, regardless of the mistake. None of us are perfect and, no matter, the works of art that you are able to create on a regular basis is pretty amazing. So, I always say, if this one wasn't "perfect", there's always another day to try again 😉 Thanks for sharing this with us 💕

I’m starting school soon and I’m trying to play with my acrylic application and fades. Yeah Sometimes it doesn’t go like you wish! But most ppl wouldn’t notice just the crazy perfectionist we nail techs can be!

Loving seeing you bk chik. And I love that you released this despite not being happy with it yourself & hopefully helping others realise that we all have “off days” where everything goes wrong. It usually ends with me cleaning shit up !!!! Sometimes seeing imperfections is a good thing even though these nails are cool. I'm still learning myself and you get to a point where you wanna give up. Anywho 😉 I just ordered a no#8 brush can't wait for it to get here🤗

One of my first ever clients for acrylic wanted short French ombre. I was crapping myself the whole time and hated every second. I hadn't refined the shape before putting the colours on so when it came time to file the colour came off. It was a disaster. The next day she messaged me saying she'd been to another salon to get their opinion and they said they were too thick and my apex was too high. I was embarrassed and devasted. Got her back in to fix it for free and she never came back. That was upsetting but I definitely learned from it.

I really love how you posted this anyway even though you felt it wasn't up to your usual standards (it was a beautiful set IMO though!) and it really kind of made me feel better about a set I did for my step daughters birthday. I was picking apart my work in the pictures but she said she got so many compliments and "oohs and ahs" because of how pretty they were... But I still cringe looking at them on my page lol. But it helps to see that one of the techs I look up to the most (you) feels the same sometimes and it's totally relateable. So often I see girls putting edited photos of their work on Instagram and sometimes it's a kick to the self esteem as far as nail work goes. I can't tell what's real or edited sometimes. So the realness you give is so refreshing. As always, thanks for sharing! 🤩

We are all our own worst critics. I've learned that just because a design doesn't come out how you wanted it too, that doesn't make it bad. I think it still looks good. As long as your client is happy, what more could you want?
