You make it look so easy I found you because I want to make a mini for my dnd game but can’t find one like what’s in my mind. Even herodorge can’t do it justice. You made it look easy enough to get the app and try with hope but I guarantee when I do it it will look like my 5 year old daughter just played with Plato. Great job man!!

This model actually took quite some time since I had no concept to work from and figure it out along the way. I definitely need to get more practice with idea iterations! Getting results that you like is definitely a process that takes a bit but if the early results and the improvements that you see between them are rewarding enough for you then it's quite the fun journey to see your collection of minis grow :) All the best!

Glad you're still around! This one took a bit since I had no concept to work from and I'm pretty slow when it comes to designing something. I can't tell how long exactly since I worked on it off and on over around 2-3 month. But there were quite a lot of other projects I did during that time. Maybe 1,5-2 full weeks including a lot of just staring at the screen haha

Found you through the autumn girl sculpt a bit ago... you've been grinding!! If you don't mind me asking, when do you personally feel the need to jump into Blender or some other polymodeler rather than busting out ZModeler for something? Saw you use both for this

Thanks a lot! It depends on the complexity of the model and how accurate I want it to be. With the axe I felt it was quicker to jump into blender since it was a more complex model but when it came to the book it was basically a cube with two extrudes and the topology wasn't that good as well for the book which was fine in that case. It depends where you think you're faster for a given task and taking the time to switch and export between programs into account All the best

Nice work as always,pro anatomy knowledge! A question, i see you have positioned the model early,but then you came back to A pose,have you used stager to save the positioned state? or if there is another way please share it,thanks!

Thanks! I had two separate tools in zbrush and concentrated on the costume in the A pose. Once I had an object finished (that relied on symmetry) I copied it to the posed model and adjusted it slightly. When it came to the anatomy I refined it only in the posed model. Hope that clarifies it a bit

Quick question, do you have any special settings on your dam standard brush? It seems to behave different than the standard one

I don't change that much usually Mostly the LazySteps in the Stroke menue to get rid of the dotted line and I like to use a large brush size to play around with the pen pressure

Ps I wanted to make make a shorter fatter wizard that about 22 years old but very childlike and timid but very studious lol nothing does it justice though

Sounds like a fun idea though! Maybe you can combine images from a 22 year old that fits the bodytype and attitude with images from a wizard where you like the costume

Thanks! I started sculpting in 2010/2011 so quite a while ago. I focused a lot on other disciplines like concepting, rigging, animation, texturing, storytelling, editing as well during that time so that skews the time I put into modeling a bit

Sorry if I skipped an interesting part for you! I had quite a lot of hours of footage that I needed to compress into a shorter video and I had to leave out a lot of it unfortunately. I will give more time for the face in the next video though!
