Ok, so I have done air dry clay tusks for a cosplay and used clear elmer’s glue to sort of seal it and add some strength to it. You don’t have to use Elmer’s but any PVA glue or even a slightly thinned wood glue should keep them from breaking :)

I saw a Pinterest post of felty cloth mushrooms attached to pillows like they were growing out of them, and I would watch the crap out of you making a pillow like that. My inner mushroom gremlin can never get enough 🍄

3m double sided tape is what I'd use the stick them to the wall. it works on some textured walls even.

I just can't imagine how anyone would criticize mushrooms geez like you said "get over it" Shrooms are here to stay. Thanks for the inspiration and I'm currently looking at my very first air-dry clay creations and guess what?, they are mushrooms too. I was stuck on how to paint them and decided to look at some vids and yours was my first and I loved watching you and feel a instant vibe of sister from another mother thing Lol...
