✌️☕️🎩 Nomad just gets better & better! I really think it’s gradually becoming a contender for best all around creation software on ANY platform (for me, anyway.) All due respect to Forger…the baton has been passed. (Just give me an extrude function and I can conquer the world.) Thanks for everything, Glen, time for the next course…I’m thinking robots. 🤔

I agree. Stefan is AMAZING and, actually, Nomad is the winner. Looking forward to what Maxon is going to do with Forger ;) p.s. Anyway, on the desktop side, I thing that Blender now is a TREMENDOUS alternative to any other software. Also for sculpting. (Ok, still Brush is the King for sculpting...) Blender is the most incredible thing happened to the 3D Word, in decades :)

we need subD and low poly tools and also UV tools in nomad.And then add texture painting and you can create complete assets for games and cgi within single app on ipad. that would be amazing and nomad would be the best thing ever!

Discovered Nomad through you channel, took your course, everything clicked…love it. You mentioned before that Zbrush is your first love…that’s exactly how I feel about Nomad. As Daniel said, you have to bring the imagination, then learn the tools & play around…unleash the monster within. Building AND painting characters on iPad for animation…that’s a pipeline! Mind Blowing. ✌️☕️🎩🎩🎩

Love this new adventure! Stumbled upon it during a Procreate version update video. I find it to be therapeutical and keeps my mind at peace. Looking forward towards my personal growth from the inspiration and motivation of the sculpting community. Its amazing to see what can become of someone when intentionally dedicating the time to learn and practice in just one year. Currently taking the V2 course and doing so as a serious learner. Appreciate the education and most importantly its affordability.

I really do hope that Maxon will get on track again. Right now they are in the transition between the old C4D and the implementation of the new core and node system. After that we will see a lot of new features and I hope Forger will play a huge rule in the near future.

I’m only a very new hobbyist, and quickly discovered I’m much better at 3D sculpting than I am at 2D drawing. I don’t see how Forger going to a subscription model could be a good idea while they don’t have some significant gains on the cheap one-off priced Nomad, but maybe it’ll make more sense if/when they bring something bigger and better. I much prefer working on my iPad on the sofa as a hobbyist than getting my computer out and working with a mouse but I’d love to try my hand at animating some of my models. I believe Blender can do this (with imported files from Nomad?)? But I wondered if there’s anything that can do a good job on iPad or if you think there’s the potential for it?

Really enjoyed this video! even though I use Nomad on the Samsung Tab S7+! I'm Still getting my head around using Nomad, As my main goto tools is my pencils and hands using clay / fibreglass and silicones! and will hopefully help develop my 3d printing skills for quicker and more precise productions of mechanical masks I make!

It's remarkably enjoyable watching you put Nomad thru its paces and seeing its evolution, in addition to how well it partners with Procreate 5.2. I can't wait for Santa to bring me my M1 iPad Pro! (Of course, he didn't say what *_year_* that would be--!) ;)
@dantorres18443 жыл бұрын
Forger fell too far behind early in the race for it to entice me back. I do know a few artists who’ve stayed with it, though, but I think that if it wants to be a serious player then it’s got a lot of work to do to catch up. The subscription model didn’t help either. Ps - thanks for the interview, Glen!

I think Nomad takes it easily. I wish the creator would improve the UI slightly to make some operations more visible. Sculpting on the go/couch is great. I would say that I also use zbrush on the surface pro which buries nomad of course, but the surface pen is no where near as good as iPad pen experience.

It was so nice to see Dan's interview. Great discussion and I agree that Nomad is a great start for anyone new to 3D. My 3D workflow more or less is Nomad> Procreate> Blender. Looking into AR stuff now. Looking forward to seeing more.

Amazing offer, got the beginners and t-rex bundle, a question, I noticed that both the old and updated beginners course are in this bundle, which one should I go for? are there any information in the OG course that is not in the updated version or should I go for the updated version first?
@SouthernGFX3 жыл бұрын
So the updated one is the one you need to focus on. We left the old one there as some people were only half way through it and there is also a lot of bonus stuff that is still relevant. We had to update as the developer moved so much of their interface around and added loads of awesome tools. The old one is essentially a freebie.

@lostonegrey15552 жыл бұрын
Does either forger or nomad have something similar to zspheres where you can create armatures?
@mushnoodle3 жыл бұрын
I find nomad easier and more optimized but both keep getting better and better But what i'm really missing is any sort of lowpoly type program. Shapr3d is great and umake is quite useful too but they are more technical CAD programs the actual geometry is a bit of a mess (plus kinda expensive). gravity sketch is interessting but focuses purely on linedrawing and mental canvas isnt really 3d in a strict sense. Polydust vanished (?) and left a lot to be desired anyway. There is a few programs that utilize 3d but not actually able to edit it. There seems to be a desert in that direction...
