The build turned out great! Once the muscle was dry brushed it looked exactly how Isayama colors the mangas! I think Reiner slowly lost armor, as the more he fought Eren, he realized he needed to be slightly faster/better maneuverable to win. It is also shown that the crystal hardening is stronger than Reiner's body armor, so the armor he had kinda lost value. I also think Isayama wanted to try out different armors! That man left almost no detail unticked, but he did like to have fun with his characters so I think that him changing the armor up a little every time was a way to keep the hype up and show Reiner's growth subtly.

It was also mentioned when Armin came up with a strategy against the Colossal Titan that transforming many times made him slimmer and less bulky just like Eren during training. Plus it seems that they have slight differences depending on their goal and mindset when transforming. It’s really gorgeous attention to detail.

I've been binging your videos for the past few days as I struggled to decide whether I wanted to finally actually try my hand at sculpting. You hit the nail on the head with the reason reiners armour changes throughout the series, it changes with his mindset, my headcanon is that his armour isn't physical it's like actual plot armour. Like ymir was looking out for him, he totally loses it at one point which I see as like ymir setting him free, no more cosmic protection... that aside sick build man!
