I just had Sculptra injected for the first time on Tuesday. Not sure why I assumed it would be like when they inject filler. Definitely asking for the numbing cream next time. It’s now Thursday and I’m still a little sore and puffy. Looking forward to my progress.

Hope your recovery ended easily. I thought the same thing- I bought on a Black Friday special because I got other stuff from this doctor and then when I showed up to get it done and she asked what my plans were for next couple days she was like, no you need to reschedule. Glad I did. But I thought it was no big deal too like getting other filler 😂. Wishing you great results 😊

@@MirandaMixwas it really painful, during the filler treatment and after? I have an appointment in 2 weeks and super nervous.
@MirandaMix2 ай бұрын
@@Susan-hs6ut hi! It wasn’t really really painful. Uncomfortable at times, but the treatment didn’t take long and also not my first time with cosmetic procedures. If you’ve never ever had anything done it might seem like a lot. But they will probably numb you??? The first two vials I got, I believed she used lidocaine with the injections- so that was numbing and then you’re still numb for a little (tad) while after the treatment. Honestly after the treatment I had no pain, only super tender when I had to do the massages. The second treatment when I got my last two vials, she used a catheter for the injections (so less pokes/injections), I think also lidocaine again but I’m not sure. I also don’t remember if during my first two vials, if she used catheter then too or just the syringe 😳. The recovery after my second treatment was way less bruised etc than the first treatment it seemed. I wish you good luck and results! Don’t be scared- at least you’re preparing. Thanks for question, let me know if any other 😄.

@@MirandaMix thank you! I think she said she will use a catheter. As of now do you feel the service and money spent is worth it?
@MirandaMix2 ай бұрын
@@Susan-hs6utabsolutely! Obviously varies by baseline and other factors but I’m soooooo happy with my results and hope they last as long as they say it’s supposed to. I haven’t focused on jowls immediately when looking in mirror like I did before treatment. I still have some action going on in that area but I’m 47. I think it also helped with skin texture and glow too.

I had mine done 3 days ago, on a Friday :) and unfortunately I bruised a bit more than that more towards mid face, I bruise easy, but going to start avoiding the bruise area now with the massage in order to let it recover. I also got injections straight onto the bone in my temple and orbitol bone because I'm over 50 and this is best for helping bring some of the bone loss back. I didn't use any numbing cream but it really wasn't bad. They actually didnt offer any either. I may get 2 more vials in 6 weeks or so but hope to not bruise as bad :(
@MirandaMix8 ай бұрын
Thanks for sharing! How many vials did you get? If you got more than I did (2) maybe that’s why you had more bruising? I remember her telling me she was going to use a cannula and that it was a new technique for her to do the Sculptra using the cannula. If I recall correctly, I think she did say it would help with bruising etc.,- like maybe less harsh or invasive as regular needle. I just did a quick google search and read cannulas for fillers can help for less bruising and swelling.
@vroomgc8 ай бұрын
@@MirandaMix Hi, I had 2 vials, one for the bones (temples and orbital bones) and the other for the skin and she used a cannula so I'm not sure what was hit that cause this issue, as I have had microneedling before and fillers a few years back and never had this type of bruising. But this is a different person and she was a 'lets get er done' type which like I said I can handle some pain but large bruising, not so much lol. Thanks for responding.

I have had 2 lots,of,sculptra thus far. Due for my 3rd middle May. I did not get any bruising. I set a timer when I am doing the massages and have notes in my phone for the 5x5x5 and tick them off so I make sure I do them 😊
@MirandaMix7 ай бұрын
Hi!! That’s a great way to track and do your massages! Thank you for sharing 😃. I got a second treatment of two vials since this video and there was like NO bruising this time around! I think mostly because she was able to focus on touch up areas only and not as “mass” of an area as my first time (I think haha). I’m not sure if second time around, if your face is more tolerable and/or ready 🤔

What are the products you used to massage your face post treatment in addition to the arnica?
@MirandaMix7 ай бұрын
Hi! Thanks for your question 😊. I alternated between a Mary Kay serum- “Replenishing Serum C&E” and a hyaluronic acid serum (.7%) that I got from the doctor who did my treatment (one of her formulations). I wanted to use products that I knew would glide and that would seem less likely to clog my pores since I was going to have to do it so much per day. That’s why I would wash before massages too, to try to prevent clog pores. Also mixed in midday “washes” with micellar water and found that the rubbing of it with cotton pad worked as part of the massage too.

Hi dear. This is the best sculptra video. Can i pleaee ask if the 2 vials covered all the areas you did? Thought 1 vial per area. Thx in advance. Planning on mine soon.
@MirandaMixАй бұрын
Hi!! Thank you so much, and for watching! Yes- in this video the areas I showed post treatment were all from two vials. I’m pretty sure it was pretty much like one vial for each side of my face. I got another 2 vials months later, and that time she mostly did just my lower face (not temples or cheekbones again)

How many days your bruises go away?
@MirandaMix7 ай бұрын
Hi!!! I got it on a Monday and by that Friday I could tell the bruising was lessening and lessening. I don’t remember exactly what day they fully went away, I would say it was about a week. Funny thing, not one single person asked or said anything about my bruises. If they noticed, they didn’t ask. I was able to cover with makeup and my hair. Thanks for your question! Good luck if you get 😊. Check out my channel for my 30 day results video if you didn’t already see it. I did actually get two more vials on 3/1 and think it really enhanced my results even more. I think I’m good now, no more vials needed at this time. I do plan on doing another video soon to compare the results after getting it done a second time.

Great detail, thank you! Sculptra MAY be on my list next but a couple weeks ago I got filler and threads in my lower face and bruised like CRAZY. Worst part, I dont wear foundation 😢worst, WORST part, my injector and her assistant SWORE that I wouldn't bruise because of the things being done...big fat lie. Needless to say, she has a ton of credentials but because of that, my money is going elsewhere. And check this out ..when I sent her photos she said YES, of course you were gonna bruise, we did alot. You'll do better next time. Lol, no thanks miss liar liar pants on fire😅
@MirandaMix7 ай бұрын
Hi!! Thanks for sharing! I’ve had my eyes on threads, do you like your results? I can imagine it would bruise.. based on images of the procedure itself that I’ve seen. When I bought my Sculptra, I called in and bought because they had a Black Friday special. I went in to get it done and she asked what my plans were for the weekend, warning of the bruising and after care. She suggested not doing it right then because of the recovery… I was bummed because I was eager but I’m glad she was honest with me. I was then able to prepare more and overall it turned into a good consultation. I got two more vials since this video and my bruising was pretty much nothing the second time around . It was like, touch up spots based on first treatment and my overall goals. I’m happy. Gonna do another video soon to show second time around results (I’m happy with). I think so far no nodules.. 😌

@@MirandaMix that's awesome and thanks so much for sharing your 2nd experience. I'm ready this time though...got me some concealer and foundation, just in case😉 And yes, it's good that your injector was honest...mine was obviously just looking for the sale. But like you and yours said, I could've planned ahead. Anyway, I'm pretty sure I LOVE the threads and have a consult in 2 days (different dr of course lol) for more. Just to the inside of my marionette lines I had 2 "v's", presumably from sleeping on my face? The marionette lines are half the size and those v's are GONE. So, was it just the threads or a combo of filler? No idea. The filler in the marionette area though was a blend of the "fern" technically and cross hatching....not injected straight in.
