When I was an apprentice our blacksmith Jack O'Sullivan described to me having his motorcycle test. He said that he met the examiner off the train then Jack said he went round the roundabout on Station road/Church lane, came back to the station and that was his test. The examiner got back on the next train. I couldn't envisage the junction until now 47 years later I have seen a photograph of the very spot. Thanks very much

Great to see the old green buses, I went to Riddings Comp in the 1970's and prefer how the town was. Excellent clip.

Ashby Ville...so many football pitches, so much activity on a Sunday morning, great for the community. Could have been turned into a fantastic area for all sport...instead sold off to property developers.

Although I live in Kent and have not been there, I know where Scunthorpe is as I have seen it on the maps before too. A large town in Lincolnshire of course. I presume the name Humberside has now been deleted preferably forever, from what it used to be at the time though. Should not have been made to join with what is now the East Riding of Yorkshire at all really too. Also in a way it is a shame that the town's name has a very rude word in it too, but I guess that is how it is somehow too alas! Whatever, thank you anyway too.
