2 mm is going to be plenty strong, any more and they will survive an impact but the hull might suffer. I’ve seen badly maintained examples allowing lots of water to enter the boat - so this solid approach is well worth having.

They are well solid, and god forbid anything should happen to the hull.😲😲😲😬😬😬😉👍 With new builds, your only allowed a certain type of scupper cover.....no idea if this one of them, but rest assured, they'll be staying on!🤣🤣🤣😉👍 Have a great weekend champ. What Plotter and sounder did to go for?

Evening Les. We have a furno 128cvs sounder, and I'm not sure of the spelling xuino plotter. It's only a wee 7" one....perfect for the smaller boat.😉👍 it's more for tracking where I put my pots, than navigation. 😉👍 Should have went for the 8" version, it has built in AIS.😁👌

Steal away pal, but be warned, it takes some doing.💪💪💪🤣🤣🤣😉👍 Oh that's easy, it's not rigged yet.🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣, it's quite easy, power from the bus bar, to the emergency stop button, then the stop button to the electronic hydraulic shut off. All that will get shown once the hydraulic engineer has been to fit the hydraulic system. 😉👍 Hope things went well at your end buddy. Have a great weekend champ 😉👍
