You really made that PERFECT, subtle kind of Weathering, Matt!! That windshield really pops, and was quite easy! I have not tried Weathering on a RC yet.... even though I've been doing it for YEARS as a Model Railroader. 😱😱 I have a ton of washes, some homemade, and a couple of good Airbrushes, single and dual action. Maybe it's time to put them to use!! Another excellent Show Matt! Carmine 🚂

If you can't find "washes" to purchase you can always make your own. Just really thin out the color you want to use. Also if you want your seats to look like fabric you can mix some white glue and water, lay some tissue or TP on the seat and gently brush on the glue mixture so that conforms to the seat and let dry. Paint and there you have it. fabric looking seats.
@scalebuildersguild6 жыл бұрын
Cool tip! How do those seats hold up after a soaking? Another option is static model flocking material. I've used that with great success.
@corksauve49496 жыл бұрын
Should be fine. it's just white glue water and tp. You obviously can't be rough with them, but if there inside that should be a problem. I did something similar with my axial nukizer body. I made the top of the cab look like canvas by use some fabric from a store and spray on adhesive, then painted it O.D. green.

Might be a little too advanced for a beginner trying to weather a model, specially something as big as 1/10th scale, but Vallejo weather washes are almost 5-7 dollars each, let alone cost of traveling to a hobby shop who even carries them, a cheaper option I always use when in a hurry is going to michaels and grabbing some of their cheapest oil paints and water colors, for 12 bucks you can get a whole pallet of colors and get to experiment with different tones, specially mixing your own, I’ve also used pastels that I grind down with a blade and mix it with the pain, it leaves a nice texture to it.
