In this video, I found some metal drive shafts that with a little work will work on the SCX24. COOL little mod to upgrade your rig.

@@BullgearRCvideos Yes these bodies are really good, I look here but they are not sold in France, I think we will find them in 6 months to 1 years, it's like the scx24 I just saw it on a French website, and the second version, here we are always behind on all countries.

Just wanted to say thank u so much !!!! I was able to swap out my bent driveshaft and put on the injora metal ones with the injora skidplate and there (purple) 50t pro motor with the metal gears and wow . For one it performs way better and your video was so helpful in the whole process so again I greatly appreciate it and your videos are awesome

Yeah, the body just fits. And if you make styrene body panels like I did, you can change the way it looks in about 5 minutes just by putting on a different set of panels

Awesome video! The inner ends of these aftermarket shafts was my exact concern. Them being rounded versus the stock having a flat spot. Were the rounded aftermarket shafts loose or wobbly at all while driving?

This video was made ages ago, and I was searching for parts that I could make work. Now there are just upgrade metal driveshafts that are direct replacement parts and fit perfectly

@@BullgearRCvideos Yes but I see that they are also rounded on the inside like the ones you used. I was just wondering if that was an issue or not. I’m ok with cutting down to the size I need. Also I’m working on a 1/18 Atlas which nobody is making aftermarket parts for. But I see that it has the flat side like the scx24. On second thought since the aftermarket’s don’t have that flat spot then maybe it doesn’t matter. Lol. Again thanks for this video.

Hey there, I'm trying to find out the tooth count, pitch, and ID of a stock scx24 pinion. I can count the teeth, but pitch? And my calipers are a bit off to get the ID. Do you know this info? I find SCX24 SPECIFIC steel driveshaft sets on Amazon eBay Etsy etc. EVERYDAY and I have Never ONCE entered SCX24 STEEL DRIVE SHAFT into Any internet enabled device UNTIL JUST NOW so. Just curious if this was INTENTIONALLY ignoring those or if Those are known to be suck quality? Just curious.

I dont know if there is a good answer for that. It depends on a lot of different things. But my favorite combo is kinetic Accent Buckshot wheels with rc4wd rock lock tires
