Nice, those little retractable things have a ton of applications in RC. I used to attach them to the end of my dining room table and on the bottom of the eflite vapor for an "aircraft carrier launch catapult" lol. Was actually pretty fun flying around the room and having a string across the table and hook on the rear to catch the landing vapor as well.

Thanks for the hack just did this last night with the C10 you literally just stick it with a double ended adhesive under the hood make a small hole with the drill on the hood and boom took like 30 secs will try with my other axials

I've seen this too, SoFlo RC he used cut out plastic for the hook. Never even thought about fish hooks. Like the idea! Maybe use pliers to smash the eye to narrow it, might work.

I did the exact same winch but I used a necklace clasp for the hook. Hooks perfect on the d rings. It definitely works and worth doing.

Yes it’s the hot racing bumper, I don’t have a part number for it anymore but you can find them on Amazon or also at local hobby shops probably, but for sure Amazon has them, they should be easy to find and I’ve seen other off brands that make small route through holes cut in them 😎👍🏻

Thanks for the info and tutorial! my Baby Avenger needs this... it is so top heavy with the diecast body and has an 18mm shorter than deadbolt stock wheelbase, it is a %^&*$&^%$ of a learning curve.... I just got some rocks cleaned and inside the house so I can finally start doing some filming again....

Could a ring be glued on top of the servo an the string run through it to keep the double barrel shocks from over extending and letting the vehicle hump up and not climb like you made a video about? I forgot about them doing that and I bought a set and gonna have to make a limit strap.

Lol, this is the exact same thing I have my swipe card on for work. If it was just a bit bigger you could mount it on the back to look like a spare tire and route the cord through the frame. Maybe I'll open er up and 3d print a fake spare tire to hold it in

I know it's an old comment, but you should give it a try, when you try a line 20 times and it's just not doable you pull the winch line and drive it! obviously some people will use it too much, some people will have their machismo threatened by using it but my son and I are having a blast with it, it's just another layer of fun! (I'm seriously surprised by how fun it is to have as an option
