Just getting started with Scythe (yeah, I'm late to the party, I know). Found this video to be most helpful! I like the actual selection of valid hexes with those yellow cubes! I will adopt this for my plays, especially when playing Barrage solo. The selection rules still have me confused sometimes.

I’m even later, just bought it the other day to play with my adult kids: it’s a Christmas tradition! I’ve not played the board game yet, just opened it and had a nosey. I’ve played the digital version 10 times, won 1, came very close twice, but ultimately lost 9! However, I now have a better idea of the mechanisms so when my kids come at Christmas I’ll kick their arses!

At 57:57 the Automa should have moved to the Factory, since the closest space to the Factory is the Factory itself (but it was a minimal mistake, no worries). Great game and fantastic video!

At one point, at about 1:01:00, you had taken the factory but dropped off a worker before moving in. You should be able to keep the worker with you as you invade the enemy territory, and thus wouldn't need another movement to move the worker in afterwards.

First off thank you for this Video, I struggle to learn rules by reading and this did a WONDERFUL job of explaining the rules and showing how they are in action. You also have a delightfully soothing voice. I look forward to playing this myself when I get home today. Second, where did you get those poker chips? They are delightful!

At 1:00:35 you wouldnt lose popularity because you had the Camaraderie ability unlocked already :)

No because the automa came with the mech, not the character

I think you forgot about camraderi. You don’t loose pop when bumping a worker. So you were well into the 3rd tier. Not sure you got all the way to 18 Pop though.

Great playthrough, and it actually makes me not miss the copy of Scythe I owned for a while. This Automa is way too much to handle for me. And too fiddly multiplayer as well. But still, very much enjoyed your playthrough :):)
