Just did the head gasket on my patrol due to a a dodgy mechanic - Didn't clean the block or head, used holymar sealant and didn't torque head correctly. All of this plus an aftermarket headgasket when a genuine one was requested.
I run high boost so a non genuine head gasket will blow pretty quick. The poor preparation just made it happen quicker.
This video was taken just after I did the head gasket. I have dropped some fuel out of it and limit the boost to 10psi until I have done 1000k's and re-torqued the head bolts.
I am using about 1/3 throttle in the video and shifting at about 2200rpm. Boost does not exceed 10psi.
