Hi there, Jamie. I LOVE 1983 for one reason and one reason only...it's an EMD SD40-2. It's really fun seeing the real thing in action. I just placed an order for my 5th HO brass SD40-2 from Overland Models Inc and I'm ecstatic. I'm trying to stack up on 'em! 😁 Thanks for the cab ride. I enjoyed watching!

Hey there! 1983 is definitely my favorite SD40-2! Glad you enjoyed the locomotive and SD40-2's in general. Hopefully we'll be painting a few more of them this year, but they'll be the standard green and yellow. Keep enjoying those HO SD40-2's! I still need to get some in N scale.

Nice video, Jamie. It seems nice that RB&MN 1983 is doing something new not only just freight, "The LGSR Excursion." At 8:42, I was surprised to see the "George Washington Car" RBMN 563 on the turntable.

Thanks so much! It was awesome to see 1983 on the LGSR. It's rare enough to seen an SD40-2 on it, so having 1983 made it even more special. Hopefully we'll get treated to it on passenger again someday. RBMN 563 was moved out of the shop in Nesquehoning to make way for some other cars to get worked on, but we are planning to restore 563 at some point in the future.

Good evening Dennis! So much has happened in recent months that October almost feels like a different lifetime lol. We had a little snow today, under an inch. It was enough to whiten the ground but not cause too many difficulties. Hope you're doing well and getting closer to getting back to boondocking.

Good Morning Jamie from my work. Nice cab ride on 1983. Unfortunately this year Rambles I can’t make it have to be on Saturday that I work. Although I can call out. However I rather save my call outs for something else or leave early from work. Who knows. Hopefully I’ll catch the 1983 on Freight runs.

Good evening John. That's a bummer about the Rambles conflicting with your work, but I agree that callouts are better saved for times of true need. There's plenty going on at R&N this year including the return of 425 in the fall, so hopefully you'll still be able to catch some of the fun on your days off.
