I think its next year where new cars have systems to enforce the speed limit, so to have cars capable of higher speeds becomes almost redundant, this to me is the ideal second car, shopping, school runs and charged at home overnight, and another vehicle for long journeys or hire a car for the handful of times a year you need to go further.

Only for new models, and for all cars from 2024. Definitely worth buying a car before the new system, speed limit recognition systems are pretty lacking in my experience so it will be more of a nuisance than a help

Interesting review. As a city car this might be a winner especially for the low price for an electric car. Where I am most local journeys are maximum 50-65 kph. So the Spring would be fine and quiet enough. :-)

It does not come with seat wormer but you can activate the climat from the app, make it warmer in winter, colder in summer. Its just a on/off switch in the app, you have to have it set up already in the car the options you want.

Hi, I'm sorry to bother you, but what autonomy did you have displayed at the beginning of the trip, how many kilometers did you cover, and what autonomy did you have left?

Paul I had if I remember well 99% and I have left 95% was relatively good ....for low speeds up to 100km you can get very good range...probably around 180km 👍 in summer probably better at low speeds. Winter probably 150km

Don't be fooled by horsepower - its a scam with ICE cars. Horse power is measured at the top of the power curve, that is typically 4500-5000 revolution per minute. No one drives like that, not to mention efficiency is total crap there.. At normal revs like 1500-2000 they have about half the horse power or less, so you just can't compare ICE car horse power with EVs, that give the same power in a wide speed range, they only start to loose power at high speeds. This car might get to 0-100 in a horrible 19.1 sec, but 100 is very close to its top speed. Its 0-50 time is a respectable 5.6 sec, and in the city, that's what matters.

There is nothing respectable about that 0-50km / h acceleration. Even the old 55kW diesel Golf GTD accelerated from 0-50km / h in 5.3 seconds (source: Auto Motor und Sport Magazine) Many have said that Dacia Spring feels faster than it really is. I don’t know if it’s a good thing.. Maybe the feeling of speed is due to the small size of the car.

Alin will be also available in UK soon. Range of car is perfect for city or driving maximum 50km daily. I think the consumption is good at speed under 80km/h. It is a simple car ,practical whitout to much crazy quality.....cheap ...economical and easy to drive

This "Spring" model is some rebranded Chinese car. It's amazing it doesn't come in Mandarin as the default dashboard language. They put in whatever Renault stuff they could fit on the original Chinese design. Actually they most likely used the Dacia brand on it just in case it starts falling appart in one or two years after being purchased so they can blame it on being a low-cost brand.
