Meta-Ideological Politics: Beyond Polarization and Extremism
In today's world, we are witnessing unparalleled levels of polarization and division, with rising waves of extremism and ideologically motivated violence. Meta-ideological politics seeks to chart a new way forward that goes "meta" or beyond ideologies as we commonly understand them, transcending the "cultural trench warfare" we now find ourselves in.
In this presentation, Ryan will lay out the meta-ideological framework and its philosophical underpinnings, and share stories from the field that include hanging out with members of extreme groups, infiltrating hate groups, and building alliances between unlikely ideological bedfellows. Will be an interactive gathering with dialogue and breakout groups.
