I took my firs redeye flight out of LAX in June of last year. It was originally scheduled to depart at 12:55AM, but we were delayed for some reason. We departed at around 1:30AM and arrived in Charlotte-Douglas International at approximately a iittle after 8AM their time. From there, my final destination was Melbourne,Florida (MLB). It was American Airlines. A lot of firsts here! My first flight out of LAX ever,my first time ever using American Airlines,my first time flying into Charlotte International, and my first that I flew into Melbourne,Florida Airport! Charlotte Airport is absolutely awesome itself! They are like LAX. Takeoffs and landings literally every few minutes. Om my way back home to LAX, we were late in taking off from there due to heavy air traffic around the airport. But somehow we managed to arrive in LAX on time!

I would suggest you look into Delta, their planes are much much nicer than AA

on many long haul flights the crew have small quarters, usually below the passenger cabin that have a few beds that they can take naps in shifts on.

Charlotte is to USAIRWAYS (They also have a hub in my hometown airport (Philadelphia International)) as Atlanta is to Delta down there in the south.

There's a love/hate relationship with the 321s. Because they're so long (greater arm and moment), and heavy (over 200,000 lbs.), and possess such a high aspect ratio wing, they ride very well - smooth and gentle through turbulence. But that short wing gives them a crappy climb and cruise performance. You're lucky to make it to FL350 on a continental crossing before you have to start down for approach and landing.

Still better than the 737-900ER though in every way. Of course the 757 beats both.

Those CFM56s sound SO beautiful they are nostalgic to listen to! Like golden music emanating form the aircraft... Thumbs up if you agree!

I have a Gemini200 American Airlines A321 which was a former US Airways aircraft. I had hoped to see the tail number to see of match my AA model. Great video though.

Am I the only one who thinks it's weird that US Airways has one of the largest Airbus fleet, and an almost non-existent Boeing fleet?
@Patrick_OWheresmypants9 жыл бұрын
***** Wrong it is not non-existent, U.S. Airways merged with American, they still exist, but they're under American.
@calvinrovinescu61669 жыл бұрын
I guess you guys didn't consider the 757 before the merger. What would they have bought from a Boeing anyway? 737s? I don't think they liked 737s and I can see why. I hope they don't retire their 757s to aggressively because I hate to see my favorite go.
@macsrule947 жыл бұрын
They had a bunch of 757s still before merging with American

LA to NYC is scheduled at 5.5 hrs, but actual flight time is usually just shy of 5 hrs. Actual flight time from NYC to LA is closer to 5.5 hrs. Depends in part on how strong the prevailing winds are in either direction, which is hard to predict.
