SDRPLAY RSPDX VS TRX DUO on 160m

Hello, what SDR would you say had better reception? Are you using the WiFi interface of the TRX duo or using it through a wired ethernet connection? I haven't been able to get it working with a wired connection, only through wifi.

Apologies for the late reply. I would say the TRX-Duo had better reception, but it is hampered by being far less user friendly. There is little english language discussion on the Red Pitaya or the TRX-Duo clone, making it a little more difficult for me. I was using the wired interface and have not tried the wireless option.

How noisy is the fan in the TRX-DUO? Have you tried diversity reception with the TRX-DUO using Thetis software? Phase adjustments between two synchronized diversity receivers can do amazing things. (Example with SDRplay RSPduo: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eGKsn5mqhJ18ors ) Yevgeni Kolganov has produced a number of KZbin videos about Red Pitaya, TRX-DUO (Red Pitaya clone), and Thetis software. They are in Russian, but people like me who don't understand Russian can turn on subtitles and choose "auto-translate" to produce subtitles in a language they do understand. The translations are far from perfect, but they are better than nothing. I did not find the fan notably noisy, but I was using it in a loud room. I did mess with the diversity reception feature, though I did not go out of my way to set the antennas correctly for that feature.
