When I find on my other (charcoal) grills that the lids get caked with creosote, a brush or scraper does the trick.

I recently had a oven fire. We have same grill as you. The grill cover and some of the ledge is black. Will what your using work for that? If so what is the brand?

You might need something a little stronger. Try simple green to get the gunk out/off and then a good stainless cleaner to get it looking great again!

I just use boiled linseed oil in the Netherlands. Works just as well on non stainless parts and even on black plastic car bumpers.

Anyone thinking of trying the stainless cleaner shown here....don't waste your money. This is only a stainless polish consisting of water and mineral oil. It does not clean or de grease anything. Amazon wants $21 for it, and you can buy it at Lowe's for less than $5.
