SDVX controller dismantle guide | Change chinese button to Sanwa

Sound Voltex controller dismantling guide. How to take apart the controller or buttons. How to change the switches or lamp holders or how to change to Sanwas.
This dismantling process was demonstrated on a YuanCon SDVX controller. It works on other SDVX controllers or any other arcade rhythm game controller (IIDX etc) that uses similar button mechanics.
Please take note that if want to buy sanwas, please buy the ones with the old lamp holder. The new lamp holders cannot change the switches. Sanwa buttons come in default 100g springs and 1.00N omron microswitches. Those are VERY heavy and you'll want to change them.
NOTE 2: Chinese buttons have shorter springs than Sanwa buttons

you should make one showing how to switch out the new sanwas with the integrated switch. its impossible to get old lamp holders shipped to the US in 2021.

Hey Tokaku I have some questions regarding the OBSA-45UK, which should be the black rectangular buttons on your controller. You've obviously shown that the lamp holder has two different sides, one of which has a narrow well and the other of which has a wide wall covering the entire microswitch. Which side terminal is positive and which side terminal is negative?

Loui Sanwa buttons come with springs and switches, but they're both 100g, VERY heavy. Buy other springs and/or switches too

Hey tokaku, what 100g switch models would you recommend for sdvx? I'm currently using V-10-1A4 and it doesn't got that mechanical tap that the cabs have

they should be the same as arcade (although arcades usually use a 50g switch + 100g spring configuration, only KAC cabinets use 100g switch + 100g spring but they feel like 50 switch+100 spring because they've been beaten to death). Are you using sanwas?

@@nottokaku Yea I got sanwas(ordered off gamo2 tho so it didn't come with the integrated switch part, had to buy my own separately). I'm trying to replicate the cab feel as close as possible but its so fuking hard. I know they got integrated switches but some youtubers got controllers that sound kinda close to the mechanical tap that arcade cabs got :/ any help is really appreciated. I've already dropped more than $600 on this and still has a crappy hollow tap :/
