Thank you for these extensive videos! This video and the one on the Schlappi Angle Grinder really helped me understand the full potential of those modules! On the Angle Grinder, your video "sealed the deal" and made me get it. :) I bought the QEG mainly because i just wanted four ADSR envelopes and the module was just 165€. At first I didn't realize, this might be one of the more complex envelope modules out there. If you compare what this can do to what it actually costs, it's probably THE number 1 bang for buck envelope module out there imo. It's almost in Behringers low price range despite being made by a small company, having better build quality than Behringer (panel mounted jacks!!!), having completely analog circuitry AND it still offers such a huge amount of possibilities.

Thanks! Reviewing envelopes, it's not the most fun job but someone has to do it. The qeg is indeed one of the most bang for the buck ones. It's a tough one to get your head around though, at least at first. Hope you have fun with it.

Really impressed by the Rides in The Storm modules. Feature-packed and economical. All the trigger outs make this one incredibly useful. QEG may end up being my first Rides in The Storm module, to replace my Doepfer A-143-2. More features in less space is quite a lure.

Hey Precarious333, it's a versatile unit indeed and there sure is some overlap with the Doepfer complex envelope generator. It really depends on what you need. I found the fact the ADSRs can be triggered in series the most fun (using all those trigger outputs). Say hi to Uwe George from me if you end up ordering the QEG =-)
@precarious333music2 жыл бұрын
@@briesmodular Yes, exactly! Too much fun to be had with all those various triggers. That is very appealing to me. You could chain the ADSRs and build an entire patch around the triggers. Thanks for the video.

BRIES, after 9 months how are you feeling about the QEG? I kind of designed my current system around it, but I am wondering if anyone else has had good luck?
@briesmodular Жыл бұрын
I don't particularly like ADSR envelopes to be honest, I rather use attack-decay envelopes and function generators. As an ADSR I feel it's pretty OP but I usually stick to Maths, Moonwalker and Delta-V for AD or AR envelopes.

Thanks for the helpful video. I just ordered one. Is the mix output affected or not when cables are patched into the individual outputs?
@bennorland2 жыл бұрын
Actually, watching the very end of the video again, I see that patching individual outputs does NOT remove the channel from the mix

@@bennorland Hey Ben, you figured it out. I hope you'll have a lot of fun with the QEG!
