In general, the TI units are faster in response to inputs. This is seen when quickly switching between sonar, downscan, chart, and split screens kzbin.infoUgkxeAxH15LxhjGlg5-CRYqjTGTEH0tbY4vk recommend The Hook units will show some lag on button pushes and screen switching. The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.

Yeah kayak fishing and jetski fishing sure has come a long way in recent times. The demand is really growing. Its not everyones cup of of tea but i like mixing up ways of hitting the water.

Picked mine up 2 weeks ago. Only dislike is having the navigation on right hand side. Every time you want to set a way point or anything u have to take hand off the throttle. Hopefully they make a left hand mount option

Yeah getting them into the country has been a real challenge for most dealers nationally. Was supposed to be huge shipment mid December which has been held up by all reports. Ive been told by a few dealers that a lot of stock is expected mid January.

Yeah both are epic options. I love my hobie kayak in PPB its epic but the ability to zip around in a jet ski and fish heaps of different areas is also epic. Tough choice.

I went to that sea doo. To buy a sea doo gtx 230 and it was good pretty cheap. No one had it on stock except this dealer

Stock is a massive issue in Aus at the moment. Most dealers not expecting stock until Mid January. Glad you found one

I heard some people say that they are having problems with the IDF on the Fish Pros going in neutral and having to get towed back, I just bought one of these things and haven't had it out yet, I hope I didn't buy a piece of junk.

I'd deal with Marriott's in Leongatha instead of Melbourne seadoo. Marriott's honoured heaps of accessories and upgrades on my new seadoo and saved $3250 🤙🏼

Hey Phil, Personally id get a boat. LOL. You can buy some really nice boats for that budget. Quintrex have some great options within that price point. I have a few mates that love the jetski for fun and fishing. They would prob go a jetski first.

Very shallow, often see guys just driving them straight off the trailer at boat ramps. Ive fished in spots in 1 meter deep and been OK

Its a make from 1969 one of the first seadoos ever made in Australia. The first one was in 1968. There's only a few left in the world apparently, can be seen in the Melb sedoo show room. Hope that helps.

100% back the trailer into the water and away you go. Just need a good 4WD and practice with beach launches which can be a little tricky. Also often see guys launching at ramps than coming into the beaches for some fun and than reheading out.

You can buy a high quality rib boat of that size in 7k usd, is safer, you get more room, way more lighter and you will spend 75% of gas less in each trip, fishing jetskis is an stupid fashion
