Sea-doo GTR 9 inch fish finder installation

In this video I show you a custom install on a 2019 Sea-doo GTR 230, installing a Lowrance Elite FS9 with active imaging 3 in 1 transducer mounted on a spring back bracket on the transom so that the transducer can be raised or lowered when beach launching.
This kind of transducer setup enables you to still utilize all the downscan and sidescan features of the new Lowrance FS unit. The bracket had to be custom made to turn this sea-doo GTR into a jet ski fishing machine.

Hi there, I had two batteries in that old seadoo, I had to custom make a bracket for the left rear compartment. It is probably easier if you just use a large single battery like the motobatt MBTX30U which is 32 amp hour

How did the customer end up going with transom mount transducer?

The mount performed well, but the plastic board eventually seperated from the hull so it got sealed back on with added screws into the hull. I had never done an install this way before so we were trusting info from other sources that it would be ok, unfortunately it wasn't. But it was not a big problem to fix and all is working well again

Hey Angela, I used Sikaflex 291 but it actually came free after 6 months of use, I'm not sure what type of sealant would be best, you could also use a bigger board for more surface area
