Just subscribed to your awesome videos man! I have a 2018 Yamaha FX Cruiser SVHO which I am currently outfitting to fish here in South Florida. I have already bought some parts from you and the quality is amazing. Do you happen to know anyone here in the states, especially in the south Florida area that does custom jetski fishing outfitting or fabrication? Guys like you are hard to come by. I realize you are a world away from here, but maybe in your circles, there is someone you might know.

Hey, I have the seadoo fishpro and using the garmin echomap 65v. I’m struggling to see fish out 40m and above. Is this a common issue? I’m considering upgrading my sounder Thoughts?

That’s fine install work how do you get the wire to the transducer without it being on the deck and in the way

Drilling a hole through the transom behind the extended platform is a tidy way to do it. Another option is to use a spacer behind the bung on the transom and run the wiring through there

It's ok but i dont like it,you just ruin original as it is. Need to cut some plastic ,drillings to fit larger sounder.I just stick to original garmin and have no problem find the fish .

And that is entirely fine. The original Garmin unit not working properly is probably one of the most common fish pro complaints. Everything you need to cut in internal and can be reversed back to original with no evidence from the outside. The original Garmin on the Sport in particular is a very clunky outdated unit to be on such an expensive fishing ski

@@GCJetskiFishing That is fine glen i understand your opinion.I have a 2023 model trophy i know my sounder is bigger and touch screen than sport but i don't know compare each other if both garmin are outdated or only apply to sport model.Andrew Hill Sea Doo Ambassador from New Zealand is a very successful fisherman and owner of Sea Doo Fish Pro Trophy catch a lot of massive fish using his trusty garmin sounder that is why I stick to my sounder.If he have issue not working well then I consider to swap to different brand.Cheer!

@@anthonyeconomides1722 7" is still a very small screen and no sideview or downview available on Trophy model either, still very basic in terms of fish finder setup. Andrew does well fishing but also remember an ambassador is under contract & essentially works for Seadoo so he would never speak badly of the product ;) I know successful fisherman that have no fish finder at all.

@@GCJetskiFishing Fair call glen,I use to have bigger boat using lowrance HDS but can be useless searching for fish trolling for hours shown nothing on screen.I prefer just concentrate depth,drop off,structures and just stay there wait for outcome.I catch a lot of snapper doin this way than looking everywhere on screen for zero also too many times sounder pick up everything and not sure if that fish or weed or what ever it is on the screen.Same to fish pro sounder I do the exact way i have done on my boat.No need to have sideview, never use it.And also the transducer location on back rear on sport is not ideal for trophy model(live well pump) are in the way and could have issue near jet propulsion creating lots of bubbles unlike garmin transducer inside the engine bay well away from propulsion.Only my issue for garmin is no water temperature reading,is handy to concentrate warmer area.I prefer transducer to have in water contact to get readings but unfortunate to have transducer in engine bay.(bummer)Have you test it your transducer to screen working well without any issue from propulsion?
