Don’t be alarmed! Many people have confused the flush port fitting for another drain plug. This port is supposed to be open and not plugged off. This port is specifically used to flush your PWC!

Thanks for the video. Just wanted to let you know that some states have recently passed laws that require drain plug removal and you can actually be cited for towing with them in place. Don't blame me, I am merely the messenger!! Example States: Oregon and Washington FYI: This law was created under the guise of invasive species prevention effort. I am buying some extras to keep on hand in case of loss, and I plan on drilling holes in the external flange so I can attach to my key as a reminder to place them back on the ski before entering the water. Only the government can blatantly disregard all liability from this law/requirement.

My 22 seadoo spark manual states them both as drain plugs. Was about to hit the water for the first time I was losing it.

Hmm. I’ve only ever had a plug on the left side and was told left was drain. Crazy. I’ve left my machines in the lake for weeks at a time and no problem with my 3up. Just watching this bcuz I unscrewed the plugs at the end of the year in a hurry so I greased the bearings and left ( darn kids had me sidetracked ) I’ll blame it on that but yep when I got home 3 hours later plugs were gone

This video answered my question about if the flush port was supposed to be open or not. I bought a used GTX RFI and it came with a quick connect flush port kit, but it wasn’t connected. So I didn’t know if the port stays open or closed when the flush kit was installed since the kit has a check valve in it. Thank you for your video.

So I'm confused here, I thought the spark had a closed cooling system. My 2016 has a reservoir for coolant and I'm assuming that's what cools the engine. Is this only for the exhaust water box?

Its not for cooling. flushes / lubes impeller during run

I purchased a 2016 sea doo spark this year and was wondering the same thing about the drain plug. I was told by the dealership that the drain plug went on the left side and the right side was the flush port. I haven’t taken it out yet for the year and didn’t know that the drain plug was in the wrong side. Just for assurance the drain plug is on the right side or?

I thought the same thing? Our pair of 2015 Sparks when we bought them new, had the plugs in one side. But both of our seadoo's have been missing the drain plugs for several seasons now 🤷🤦 but no water ever comes out when we pull them out and have checked while in the water and there dry on the inside I don't get it!! Lol 🤣 any one got an explanation for that?

Could it be possible that on my 2014 seeded spark 3 up that the flush port is towards the top compared to where u are pointing, and shaped more like a nipple?

@@BlondeVoyage I was able to confirm that it (the stem/nipple thingy) is by seeing a picture on a Sea Doo forum. I bought some 1/2" ID tubing with clamps and a hose adapter - all from Menards. Going to flush the system soon.
