Sea Doo spark free flow exhaust for $20 - cheap easy diy project

This exhaust can be done for about $20, one 90 and one 45 degree silicone couplers for $6 or 7 bucks each, I got my hull fitting for $5, pvc pipe $2 (2-inch pvc), Just wanted to toss a video up explaining the ins and outs of setting up a simple free flow exhaust for really cheap and really easy, Besides what I had laying around I only spent $6 and definitely can tell the difference, just wanted to get the info out there so people can be motivated to order $35 worth of parts and build your own instead of a $150-200 kit

First time out with the diy exhaust and it went awesome! The lake was extremely choppy almost 3 ft waves and was constantly jumping them, sounded great and only a drop of water at the end of the day as usual

Update, put quite a few hours on the exhaust probably about 20-25hrs, No issues! To be as cheap and legit as possible order these parts; 600 or 610mm (2 foot) 2.5” od aluminum charge pipe, 2.5” 90* silicone coupler, and as cheap of a 97+ seadoo exhaust thru hull fitting you can find Some hull fittings have 90’s and then u can probably just use a straight 2.5” coupler, Use silicone at the hull fitting and even a little bit on rubber/silicone coupler joints for extra piece of mind, Now if you want to be even cheaper and get it done today without ordering anything, chop the stock box and use pvc pipe and couplers from hardware store

Heck yeah I been trying to but gopro kept acting up after gettin wet, ill give it another shot soon tho or maybe try to put some clips i already have together

@@tylertomashowski7130 You wont be disappointed at all, Ive been running pvc for at least 60-70 hrs and no issues, For the price you might as well give it a shot anyways

Will you have any issues cutting the old exhaust hull fitting? How long of a straight pipe or degree pipe would I need from the coupling on the water box to the hull fitting 90 degree coupler?

The distance from water box to the hull exit is at least 18 inches, I would recommend at least one mild bend in it, 45* or less of an angle, I didnt cut the original resonator but looks like it would be no problem

Turned out great. All i needed was a 14” aluminum pipe, a 90 degree coupler, then I just reused the exhaust hull thru on the resonator by cutting it Appreciate the video and gave me the confidence to do it

Any loudness increase? I want mine to sound a little better but still subtle. Hard to tell in video.

Could you have just cut the resonator off the rear outlet and reused the fitting?

Zack Goban Yeah that works too, I didn’t want to chop it up but it would fit the 2.5” silicone coupler, I would toss a little silicone on there so that its basically glued as well as hose clamp

standard sch 40 pvc from hardware store is good for 140*, I mentioned it in the video, the original is just plastic and ive ran the pvc exhaust for 60+ hours

@@Franks_Garage so even when giving it a proper good run at the top of the rev range you don't experience any softening in the PVC? also I have a 2009 155hp wake pro, exhaust setup looks very similar, you wouldn't imagine being a massive difference in temp.

@@michaelcafini7996 I havnt had any problems yet, I hold it wide open pretty often, If you dont want to chance it just use some aluminum charge pipe, and make sure you get good clamps

Hop on ebay and search "seadoo exhaust outlet" plenty should pop up, any from a 97 or newer sea doo will work

what size is the bend in the 45 degree pipe

Need atleast one 45* bend to avoid any kinks in the couplers, 2.5" OD pipe, or 2" pvc
