i would just take the top half off, it makes it easier to install and on top of that you can put a fresh set of plugs in, do a oil change much easier and put in a fresh battery. get a strap type oil filter removal tool and it makes it much easier to remove the ring, no need to tap on it to remove.

Don’t need a fresh set of plugs or oil change all the time. Some people mod after they have already done. Take the top all the way off if you like. That’s not wrong it’s just another way.

What is the difference between the free flow vs the rear exit other than the exhaust tone?

Aldez yes defeats the purpose. The oem hole is in the pump tunnel and vibrates the hull. Exhaust going out the rear looks better and it’s louder. Plus you get zero hull vibration shooting the exhaust behind you versus underneath you. Rear exit exhaust is the way to go

tyson Baar we cut them open and remove the baffle and add a waffle grate to give it a distinct sound. Saving you money on buying an aftermarket waterbox. Wetjetperformance.com

Just got two new sparks. Any chance of the ski getting an enema and damaging something sliding backwards? I have an older 2 stroke and I noticed exhaust flaps on those.....just wondering

Truckguy Truckguy no chance unless you leave it upside down for 5-10 minutes. The water box holds any water back from getting into your engine. Over 1500 exhaust sold and zero motor lock ups do to an exhaust.

Cody Hill when are you getting an exhaust code. If you are getting a temp code you sensor might be bad on the waterbox. The rear exhaust makes more flow but you shouldn’t be getting a temp code. If you are just putting around in a circle for awhile it will go off from time to time

Bishop’s Reviews, diy, and fun vids long story short. 2 trees fell onto my spark in 2017. I finally refurbished two hulls into one and it worked! Had it on the water going full speed for some time and then the code came out. White smoke Was coming out from the back and just running limp. It hasn’t ran since 2017 and only has 13 hours on it.

Why did you put the water box back on it you could have made it sound a lot better by doing delete water box

Ashton Mchenry the purpose of the water box is to protect your motor. A delete puts your motor at major risk of a hydro lock. Especially if you flip it. A straight pipe is loud as hell and you damn near need ear plugs to ride it. We wouldn’t promote a product that would put your motor at risk.

Anderson E Rockefeller who said the exhaust system is 400 bucks ? It’s 229.99 and that’s the lowest price on the market . Go get yourself a 100k Cnc machine to make aluminum parts and you will understand how the cost of products is factored. Nobody makes a $400 rear exit exhaust
