Awesome review on the motor. I’m tossing up between Honda or Yamaha but I’m going to pick the Honda. Thanks

Experience talking here....if you don't add a safety chain between the motor and the boat, you may find yourself dropping the motor into the drink. There is a safety hook spot in the center on the transom pad.

great video, thanks.. Do you have to drain the Honda of gas before placing it on its side in truck??Leakage issues?? thanks
@SeaEagleBoats8 ай бұрын
No leakage issues. As long as you remember to tighten the cap and the pressure release valve you should have no issues transporting at all. Cheers!

I bought the boat, now looking for a modest motor. No word here on performance, at least a bit. How hard is to take a phone with a GPS tracker and do some speed measuring with one and two people onboard so we can get an idea what motor to buy.

Great question! On the Fishskiff with a Honda 9.9 you will get up to 22mph with one person, With a Honda 5 you will get up to 16-18 mph with one person. I hope that helps!

how fast will it go? Great video!
@SeaEagleBoats Жыл бұрын
Hello @jacop1996, speed varies according to hull, load, and conditions. However, the when paired with Sea Eagle's the average speed is approximately somewhere between 10-15 mph.

Coul I put that on the back of a 1625 xl furry lund for a little trolling motor and just in case big motor failed, to help get back

I want to use it in river how well will it go up the river? Snake River
@SeaEagleBoats2 жыл бұрын
The Honda 5 hp packs a lot of punch into a little portable motor and is incredibly reliable. If and how well it can travel up the snake river depends on what hull you pair it with, load, and weight distribution. Thanks for watching! I bought a new one and I'm having problems. I have to crank it for at least 5 minutes, at least 50 times before it starts, even if its hot.The choke is out and its full of gas...not as easy as on the video. It is working perfectly once it starts but the starting is a big problem. What am I doing wrong?
@SeaEagleBoats2 жыл бұрын
Hello Lucian Belic, thanks for watching! We hope you subscribed to the Sea Eagle Boats KZbin Channel for more informative videos to come! You should absolutely not be experiencing those kinds of issues. Most especially for a first-hand motor purchase directly from a Honda Marine Dealer. We recommend you contact your Honda Dealer. Think this motor will push my 14 aluminium boat? With about 350lbs in it (2 people)
@SeaEagleBoats Жыл бұрын
Hello Scott Huzij, yes, it will mostly likely push it to max speed of 5-6 mph. Reaching hull speed is actually relatively easy. Getting past it requires quite a bit of horsepower. Thanks for watching. We hope you'll consider subscribing to Sea Eagle Boats KZbin Channel for more informative videos to come!

Can the paddleski handle the Honda 5?
@SeaEagleBoats6 жыл бұрын
The 437ps PaddleSki is rated for a 5hp and the 435ps PaddleSki is rated for a 3hp. Check out the Honda 5S (sea.gl/HONDA5S-YT) and Honda 2.3 long shaft (sea.gl/HONDA23L) if you're looking for a great motor for your PaddleSki.
