I think the Bixpy motor is getting better results than the watersnake? I might be wrong on that.
@SeaEagleBoats

The Watersnake Venom 34 and Bixpy K-1 (roughly 33lbs of thrust) will offer about the same amount of thrust. The Bixpy can easily mount on a kayak with in the skeg slot and has its own battery and wrist band. The Watersnake allows you to purchase any battery size you like for long or short trips. For the Paddleski I would recommend a transom mounted trolling motor as it does not have the skeg slot like our kayaks.

Have you ever tested the fishskiff in mosquito lagoon? That's where I frequent on my yak and wonder how this would handle those areas. Pretty similar to the west coast. But mosquito lagoon has some nasty oyster beds that would scare me in this boat.
@SeaEagleBoats
@SeaEagleBoats 3 күн бұрын
I have not tested it over there but many of the areas I use it in SWFL have oyster beds and with the new keel and keel guard it is well protected. I obviously recommend avoiding oyster beds but sometimes they pop out of nowhere when fishing shallow areas. I have had no issues! I think this boat really is an excellent option for the bays of Florida. Cheers!

I have the same motor.. just wondering. is the tilt & run control handle has to be in RUN when operating? or has to be in TILT so that if you hit any object under the water, the motor will get tilted so that it won't damage the transom.. it's confusing me.
@SeaEagleBoats
@SeaEagleBoats 3 күн бұрын
Hello and thanks for watching @elonmustard11313. You can run in it in the tilt mode when needed. Mostly when you need to tilt the motor up in super skinny water. However, you'll need to switch to run mode if you need high throttle reverse or the motor when kick up during. Most Sea Eagle have a very shallow draft (2-6"). So tilting the motor is usually only needed when beaching. Keep in mind, allowing your motor to come in contact with anything at any speed is not a good thing and should be avoided at all cost.

I'm using this pump right now, and I absolutely love it. It's incredible. Two questions. On the valves of the Razorlite, it says 10psi or 0.68 bars. If I set the pump to 10 psi, it's roughly 0.69 bars. I know the difference is small but is setting the pump to 10psi safe for the Razorlite, or is there a risk of over-inflation? I don't wanna cause any damage over time. Also, when deflating does the pump auto-stop when all of the remaining air has been removed? Thank you!

Aloha @GodOfSpades101, that's great to hear! Thank you for the feedback. Setting the pump to the desired psi is correct and won't damage your Sea Eagle. No worries about overinflatation when setting the psi to the correct setting. The deflation function (around 1 psi) of the pump is no where near the inflation capability and does not auto-stop because it does not register increasing PSI. Thank you for watching. This boat is definitely a great option for you then. As long as you have a vehicle that will fit this boat deflated then it is a great option. I actually can fit it in the bed of my F-150 fully inflated and strapped down which is a huge plus. You can leave the front bench out for more room which also will save some time during the setup. The 5hp Honda is also great with the built in gas tank and its portability, for longer trips you can bring a small 1 gallon tank for additional fuel.
@dancoleman1269
@dancoleman1269 20 күн бұрын
How sure that compare to the 437PS?
@SeaEagleBoats
@SeaEagleBoats 17 күн бұрын
The 437PS and the FishSkiff 16 will offer a very different boating experience. I like to to consider the 437PS Paddleski a hybrid, its a cross between a kayak and a boat. It can take up to 6hp outboard, be used with a trolling motor or just paddled around like a kayak. The seats sit lower on the floor so it functions more like a kayak in that sense and since only the floor is high pressure it will inflate quickly. The FishSkiff 16 is a full boat and can take up to a 10hp outboard that will push it around very quickly. The seats sit higher and it offers for room for gear and accessories. Both are great options but if you are looking for more of a boat than the FishSkiff is the better choice. I hope that helps!

Inflatable hulls have been used by the military since 1838. French naval officer and biologist Alain Bombard crossed the Atlantic in one in 1952. After which Jacq Cousteau was convinced of its shallow draft and excellent performance. To date, the military, coast guard, law enforcement, fire departments, harbor masters, and many other emergency services around the world use inflatable watercraft. Even commercial fishing hulls and commercial passenger hulls are required to have safety boats. Most of which are inflatable. They've more than proven themselves. While modern-day inflatable watercraft are not impenetrable. They are extremely durable. All Sea Eagle hulls with the exception of gateway entry-level Sport Kayaks and the SE9 are made with hull material that consists of a layer (some double-layer) of 1000 Denier PVC fabric with a high tensile strength inner woven nylon thread web sandwiched in between PVC layers. It's designed to compress when there is a puncture, mitigating and minimizing the size of most any hole. It also works to resist additional tearing/damage due to the PVC-reinforced material (1000 Denier). You'll find it's nearly impossible to tear and very hard to puncture with the exception of something extremely sharp and hard such as fish splines. Because of this dynamic, if a pinhole occurs as a result of a fish spline the material will mitigate the leak by minimizing it until you get around to repairing it. A pinhole leak or even pinholes will never cause the hull or chamber to completely deflate. As a matter of fact, at some point, the leak will completely stop due to the fabric constricting tighter at a lower psi by design. The following two videos demonstrate the durability of Sea Eagle inflatables and how they respond to hooks. The Watersnake 70 is a great trolling motor and is perfect for many occasions! The speed we clocked was at full speed so the battery would be depleted relatively quickly. The solar panel will work laid on the front deck as well if you don't want to bring the canopy. 2. This will vary greatly depending on the speed that you are cruising and the amount of sunlight. On a clear sunny day it will significantly add to your run time cruising at a slow to medium speed. 3. The 14ft Sport Runabout? This 3HP equivalent motor will push that model around 4mph 4. Hello Alex, thanks for all your great videos. I talked to Jerry in tech support at Sea Eagle today. Her helped answer some questions about mounting my Garmin Force on the Sea Eagle bow mount of the FSK16. I'm debating the 5HP or 9.9HP Honda. I'm 6"1 and 180 pounds. Can you handle loading and unloading that 9.9HP Honda from your vehicles, then mounting the 9.9HP on the transom of the FSK16 all by yourself? I plan to fish with friends, but will need to be able to mount that 92 pound dry weight 9.9HP Honda by myself at times. Curious how you manage, and any tricks you have for mounting and unmounting the Honda 9.9HP outboard. Can you tell me more about the dolly you use that shown in this video? Thank you
@SeaEagleBoats
@SeaEagleBoats 28 күн бұрын
Great question! Both are great motors and each have advantages of their own. The 9.9HP Honda will give you plenty of power and speed for any occasion no matter how much gear/people you have on the boat but something like the engine cart shown is definitely something you will want to have if you will be inflating a deflating the boat every use. The 5HP Honda will be easier to transport alone and has a built in gas tank which I really like, you can just use the built in gas tank and bring an extra small portable gas can with you to refill if needed. If you want to keep your setup as portable as possible I'd go with the Honda 5HP since it does push the boat around nicely and is easier to carry by one person. If you will have someone with you a majority of the time and possibly will get a trailer in the future then the 9.9HP is the better option. If you do go with the 9.9 the only trick I can really recommend is getting the cart and locking the motor in the straight position when carrying it. I hope that helps, here is the link to the cart shown in the video and let me know if you have any more questions - www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000XWDAHU/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1
