I was fishing at North Wales at penmon too weeks a go. I was using a spinning rod got my first ever sea Bass and few mackerel. I had a really big fish on at Moelfre it came off. Love your videos mate love north wales Bumoris and the guys how work at Anglesey Bait Centre really helpful I got a new fishing rod for my Birthday there mitchell Traxx mx5 beautiful rod to cast out and light wight its great when you have a big fish on it and some mackerel

John you need to cut the tails off your mackerel bait, it stops them spinning in the tide

❤❤ good man braid is great for everything but fishing in the surf of beaches as you say there is no strech and be carefully as un a lot of strain it can slice your finger when casting were a finger protective glove or use a casting cannon mate . As always love the videos . Tight lines mate

Judging by looks as such ', The happy Hooker looks like a Brut 33 or an old spice kind of chap 😂...i suspect that your mackerel were sprayed with it 😂.

Well done again John and Rich to you . Any recommendations on shore spots please im at Cemeas and my mates at Amlwch. Fished Amlwch break water. Pollock Wrasse Congor Makey. Bangor pier had smoothound. Thinking Holyhead break water ?.

I like to use whiplash fishing braid it is it very very good quality very strong braid but it is very thin so you can get plenty on your real. You will be surprised of the thickness compared to other types of braid how thin it is but how reliable and strong, it is also take a look yourself.

You're lifting to high on retrieve with fish - pump and wind as you are but don't lift as high, you cause slack line lifting as high and risk losing fish 👍
