I’ve been watching your videos for about a year now and I really do enjoy them, I love the diversity of species that you catch. I am 15 years old and come from the small island of Malta 🇲🇹 in the Mediterranean. At the moment we’re catching a lot of amberjacks, blue runners and massive dolphin fish or “ Mahi Mahi”. We also get glithead sea bream in fact I caught in 4 pounder last December. Anyways keep up the good work and whenever you come to Malta, then don’t hesitate to go for a fishing trip !

The french trawlers will get them when they migrate sadly. They would make much more money turning uk fishing into sports fishing only and buy out all the commercial boats. The industry is dead on its feet but the damage it does to the aquatic environment is still immense
@MrAcuta733 жыл бұрын
@@Ghhyuttgg We have much the same problem with salmon here on the US West Coast. The commercial fishery is an anachronism and causes more harm than good. Nevermind it isn't even financially viable...the few boats still gillnetting the Columbia River all have jobs to pay the bills. I DO hate to see it die, but its time has come and gone. Some day if/when our fisheries rebound enough to support it, I would be fine with it returning.
@oldbloke1353 жыл бұрын
@@MrAcuta73 It's the same story in all "civilized" countries, big companies sending men out fishing to make the payments on the company's multi-million dollar/euro/pound boats. One boat with all the modern technology can destroy a fishery on its own, then move on to destroy another one somewhere else.
@tomlocmajian55583 жыл бұрын
How far do you typically travel for fishing? Are most of these places semi local for you or are you like some of the American fisherman who are mostly local then take a trip up the coast for a vid? Reason I ask is you have all this great fishing locale nearby at any given time otherwise.
