From memory last year you got caught out when mackerel showed up and you forgot your feathers keep a set in your rig wallet!! 🤣🤣 Horse mackerel are lovely but cut the back plate off the sides and cook them whole then take the meat off them and turn into fishcakes coz they are boney as hell

Great video mate thumbs up as always , iam moveing back to herne bay on Monday after living in wales for 19 years so will start fishing herne Bay Area again . I grew up as a kid fishing the admiralty pier there and literally see the first of the imagrants take it over I’ve never fished the beach there , but know Alan Yates use to have great bass in the breakers on fresh pieces of gar which are easily caught in the area.

Scad fillets are good bass bait 30 yards out running ledger leave the fillet loose on a pennel and the bass love them as much as a macky fillet the same way !

Might give that a go next time, there were some good size ones and I'm annoyed I didn't take a few more for dinner🤦‍♂️

Good video, you done well with the ray and when the bait fish and mackerel came in , i could feel your excitement , ive been sticking to sandwich bay atm and still on the fish when i go but might fish dover again as not been their in a while , was the traffic ok getting their and whats the parking fees like , quality vid dude .

Cheers Adrian. The traffic was OK coming down from the a2 and the parking charges were ok, I think 3.60 for 4 hours. I like Dover because it really is unpredictable and anything can show up. That's what I like. Makes it difficult picking the right rig tho🤦‍♂️

Pretty much yes. Small herring , sardines and sprats that run together in shoals
