What a vid, one of my favourite fishing marks for taking friends. Its been like 7 years but I still remember it well. If you fished more further to the left, ideally near the elbow. Less snag and my personal fav wrass spot.

Thanks for watching 👍 I love samphire hoe and will definitely be back a few times this year. I'll head further left to the elbow and give that a go. Thanks for the heads up

Perhaps by that freshwater outlet, bass might hang around looking for any eels or freshwater fish escaping into the drain. The resevoir by the road is full of fish at high tide

Awesome session, I'm going for my first proper sea session of the year in Wales this weekend so fingers crossed for that one, would be nice to finally get a fish landed this year after the rubbish luck I had on the rivers

Enjoyed that. Mainly the end bit. I was there last week and had most fish along there. Keep it simple. 4/0, mackerel bait and a 6oz sinker. Very shaggy where you are there. There’s an old trawl net on the bottom. Should have fished about 200yds to the left. 12 adverts though for a poorcod? We used to tread on em and throw em for the gulls or give em to the local stables for horse food. Some people used to eat em when money was tight but we never did. Trash fish. We had a saying in our sea fishing club back in the 60’s. A pout in her clout beats a huss up her ‘nus. And it was true. There was a naval girl called Betty. Well you can imagine the rest. Long time ago mind. Better luck next time and keep on trying. Hope you’ll get a nice bass or something good instead. Don’t give up young’un. At least you got some vitamin D from the sun so not all bad. Keep on trying and it’ll happen. Plenty of time yet. When you’re my age then worry!

Enjoyable video, I was there a day after you! I'm a coarse angler and have just started going to Samphire with my carp rods, I haven't caught much yet but had my first wrasse, pouting, blennie and a nice pollock so far, Want to catch one of them larger wrasse, maybe when the water gets a bit warmer?
@gsp3 жыл бұрын
I did hear that a 4lb ballan wrasse came out last week, so they are there. I find it's a nice relaxing day catching a mixed bag of species amd very enjoyable in the sun

Great sess mate was thinking of shooting down there in a bit is the the car park 24hr and can you fish there at night ? Thanks mark
@gsp3 жыл бұрын
You can fish there at night. You just have to uy a ticket either on the day or a few days before if you're local. They have to inform the security that you're there but the kiosk shuts at 5pm. Im going to do an evening /night soon on a tide thats around 10:30/11ish

Was that a spitfire or a hurricane flying around at the beginning when you started fishing. And I'm surprised you haven't gone to Shoreham yet theres loads of undulates and bass coming out

It was a hurricane flying around. 👍 Dont go there with shoreham🤦♂️. I went that way on weds night. Ut ended up stranded at clacket lane with a snapped intercooler pipe. That was a long night!
