.I would’ve called this episode “the better of two evils“. I think the fortune of that antique should have gone to the locals that lived in the area. It’s just a movie. But a good one.I am very grateful to be able to watch these classics.

They have to stretch the truth in the interest of good drama, that's why it's not called a documentary. Apparently professional divers were always used on the show both as stunt doubles and as consultants-- some of the most well known divers in fact worked on the show but they couldn't control the dramatization the producers wanted and most shows back then, like Highway Patrol were pretty farfetched-- they didn't have reality tv and Wikipedia in those days.

No "reality" TV or Wikipedia ? Thank god ! I know; I was back in that time. So relaxing !

I love how at minute 21, a trapped Mike says, "Thank you, Inspector!" If it had been me, I wouldn't have said the word "Thank". ;-)

Funny currents on those times - you are like in a washing machine!

Notice at 2:04-2:16 what looks like fishing line connected to Mike’s tanks; perhaps pulling on them, making them bounce in the rough current? Must not have had a good continuity person on this episode.

This one was a little more cheesy. I still liked it because it was not a 60 min. show.

I love this series. But the erroneous dive science and the farfetched story lines are distracting. I mean, a harpoon gun to fire a line into the bottom? Why not go down the anchor line? The writers were not knowledgeable about diving, the Gas Laws or Dive Physiology. But in spite of all that, it is entertaining. Got me in the water 60 years ago and is getting me in the water again... Mouth breathers rule...

Go for it. You will laugh but it necessary to have a ticket. Before you buy gear, look at Dive Gear Express. They sell some of the best stuff around and you can get the parts to maintain their regs for about $50 as opposed to paying some dive shop over $100 and never knowing who is working on your rig.

@Nuclear Christian, this show taught me more about life and how to live then my parents ever did. Taught me to not leave a job until it’s done Taught me that loyalty to people who believe in you matters Taught me that doing the right thing matters Taught me to live with an open mind to what’s new And more.
