'Sea Kayak Videos' Episode 3: Weather

The third episode in a series hosted by John Dowd. John together with his wife Bea was the founding editor and publisher of the 'Sea Kayaker' magazine and is the author of many books, including 'Sea Kayaking' A manual for the long distance paddler. He has undertaken many adventurous kayak expeditions all over the world.
This episode looks at some of the ways a kayaker can utilize an understanding of the vagaries of weather systems into the planning of paddling trips, long or short, into remote waters or just off the beach.
The Sea Kayak Video Series was first presented on DVDs for sale on line or in specialized stores.

Excellent series for all boaters as well as kayakers - although it certainly makes the BC coast look dangerous! Fogbound and stormy with furious tidal currents and giant ferries everywhere. I still want to go there, though.

studies showed that paddlers aren't visible on radar, also with radarreflectors. This because the sensitivity is too low. We do go up in the waves. Reflectors should be higher than 1,5-2m above the sea.
