Beautiful film. I don't think it needed music, just the sound of nature is enough.

Thanks for your comments and point taken, it's always very difficult to judge what soundtrack (music or voice over) to use and very much a personal thing as everyone has different likes and dislikes. 👍

I visited this island many times over the years,there was a woman who stayed in the white house near the lighthouse ,she had goats,chickens and about 12 rescued dogs who would come down to greet you when you landed,we found an old wooden crate full of straw and i think 11 rifles and ammunition, we buried it not far from the house and covered it with bricks to return at a later date and retrieve it but we never did so they will still be there,great island to explore.

@@jvtaxi3766 Hi JV, thanks for your comments and interesting encounters when you've visited in the past. There are still a few rouge chickens roaming the island and a whole host of eggs laid in great numbers in the old house low down near the shore in the Northern bay. I did find a human femur in amongst weeds and scrub on the right of the roadway leading up from the main jetty area...maybe someone found the rifle/ammo stash and had an accident 😳😳 🤔🤔 or could have been from sometime in the islands dark history?? Absolutely... a great island to explore 👌

I worked on this island to clear the elder trees out of every accessible area. Enjoyed every minute of it.

Hi Dean and thanks for your comments 👍 Yes, it was very noticeable how much hard work had been carried out. Was that undertaken on behalf of the guy who was considering opening it up to the public as some kind of Museum?? I remember someone saying something to that effect, was he something to do with QuickFit?? The Island stands as testament to our intricate coastal defences throughout the centuries. I must go back for another explore but fear all your had work will have succumbed to the ravages of time, young saplings were sprouting from the bases of the stumps that were left despite the observed efforts to poison and plug them. The old rotten dead timber made for a fabulous campfire during our visit, thank you! Lots more interesting adventures on the channel, please browse and share. Best Regards Geoff

I think I saw this island from Arthur’s Seat in Edinburgh, but I’m not sure. It looked taller in the distance 🤔

Thanks Aaron, they weren't bad this time but last year, we were out right in the middle of the breeding season and they were everywhere so much so they nearly took the drone out! They can be very inquisitive especially Oystercatchers. Thanks for your comments 🙂 👍

Such a shame such a beautiful island is wasted. Interested to know if you had any ‘spooky’ experiences whilst there? Very brave of you to stay overnight! Was that a human femur bone??? Thank you for a great video
@geoffburke9 ай бұрын
Hi Serenity and thanks for your comments. It's an interesting island steeped in history but being so remote has just been left overgrown. Yes, a human femur bone which could have been unearthed from the many inhabitants over centuries. I'm so pleased you enjoyed the adventure 😀 Lots more content on the channel to enjoy, feel free to browse and share with friends. Thanks Again for watching
