Great video. Has me wishing my life away waiting for spring-autumn. Had gale force wind after gale force wind with the temperature rarely creeping above 10C and driving rain of late which has kept me on land. The days are getting longer though and looking forward to a talk on the ecology of our local harbour in a few days. Kayaking weather is approaching. Thanks for bringing us along.

Many thanks. Sometimes our summer has gale force winds and temperatures below 10c🤣 Im hoping to do a trip in the next few days but the weather looks very wet , windy and chilly!

Very nice. I need to get a tent and start doing something like this and not only surf tide races. I'm assuming it was Scotch you had when you had it. There is nothing better. This was an excellent video and thank you for sharing. Godspeed to all of you.

Thank you. Yes indeed get out there and do it in manageable steps... indeed Scotch Whisky😁

Only Just got home tonight after spending 6 nights on Mull. We were on the Ross of Mull till Tuesday Morning. Them Moved back onto the mainland and headed up to Morar for a Beach Trek form my Daughters. I did get my Kayak out a few times but didn't venture to far from our Campsite as the sea was a bit too choppy for my limited experience on the sea in a Sea Kayak, a very different beast form my sit on top I usually use up there. I would love to do the same trip in time when I have built up my Confidance and experience and have others to go with. Were you stopped after your camp was were I tried Kayak Surfing last year with a friend. as it is only a short paddle from Uisken Bay were we stay. So from were you camped is part of the coast line I do know to just past Ardalanish Beach, as we go out there to try our luck with crab and Lobster. Not that I like seafood, just the paddling on the water. Mull is my favorite place to go to. Yet again a very enjoyable video for your good self to watch and see parts of Mull that I have yet to see from the water.

Thank you. Yea Mull is a super place no matter how far you venture out. 😁

Another wonderful wee film, Bob. Quick question - how much fresh water do you carry over three days?
@getwet50110 ай бұрын
Thank you😁 I always allow for 2 litres use a day. I can carry up to 7 litres. I would normally start with 6 lites, On longer trips we top up from streams etc, as we go and use sanitised tablets and boil as well, but it's often fine to use without

I get overwhelmed trying to decide what to pack in the kayak. Do you just plan each meal etc ? Great video.
@robertevans7801 Жыл бұрын
Thanks, Hi, Yea it can be difficult to know what to take, the more you do it the easier it gets. I basically take a planned meal for each day and then some spare, how many spare days depends on the trip and how exposed it is and how likley you could be to get storm bound.

Great trips in the great place! Bob, may I ask, I never seen tandem kayaks in your videos, they are not popular in your locations? And what brand of paddles you use in the trips?
@getwet501 Жыл бұрын
Thank you. Tandem sea kayaks are not that popular it seems, we don't see many. My paddle is a Mitchel Blade, a UK company, great paddles at a competitive price, I would highly recommend them

Don't take this wrong way. I love your videos. But I watch them as I go to bed. The sea helps me sleep.

@gradyrm237 🤣🤣 videos to send you off to sleep!! Yea that makes sense. However, you enjoy them is fine with me😀

Hi Bob,what is the camp chair you have in your videos? Cheers, Kenny
@getwet5017 ай бұрын
Hi. I'm not sure what make it is my wife bought it for me. I know there are a few outdoor places sell very similar, Gooutdoors have them. The ski feet on it are home made, they stop it sinking into soft ground and make a huge different to the functionality. A few the ones you can buy come with a fabric base that clips into the legs, which does the same job, its definitely worth getting on of these.
