Took a Canadian canoe trip down to Glencoul Bothy in August. If you get the wind and tides right and rig a sail you can get there or back in about an hour from Kylesku. Lots of people heading north on the Cape Wrath trail made for good company. Take a rod and a few spinners to catch your supper as there were plenty of seals looking to do the same! Never attempted to get out under the bridge though because of the swell - that's how trips are I guess🤷♀

Good to see you back Stuart & George, Missed your videos. I walked into that Bothy last Nov for a night and did Quinag Mt next day and a night at Suileag. Love the NW. Met a chap who worked in Kitchen of Hotel - so can confirm the ropes are Mussels fm for the Hotel etc Walked down nice wooded stream glen to where you camped, then back up lane to the road. Just for your back - try the Thermarest Adventure Mat - very comfortable, easy to inflate with the available pump stuffsack. ATB

Nice to see you back on the water once again. Looked like an amazing trip. The Bridge looks familiar, it remind me of a trip out with my Grandparents when I was a young lad in the 80's. As we lived at Kinloss at the time and when they came to stay we often went out for long drives. Evan my Parents would just jump in the car and my Dad would ask my Mum at junctions which way to go. Wouldn't like to do that now as it would cost a fortune in fuel.

Really enjoying your content thanks to KZbin recommending something decent for a change, and it's always great to see so many familiar places. Whenever I discover a channel like yours it always reminds me how incestuous the sea kayaking community is, with mutual friends at every turn no matter what the distance 😂 Keep up the good work and if you're ever up on the north coast and fancy a paddle then give me a shout. We have some spectacular coastline up here, and some spectacular conditions to go with it!

Hi Stuart & George, good to see you back. Brought back recent memories. I walked in to that bothy in Nov, did Quinag next day and a night at Suileag. Can confirm Mussel farm as we met a chap who works in the Hotel and cooks them there ! Not sure what mattress you were using at the bothy, I've found the Thermarest Adventure to be the most comfortably. Hoping to get out camping with the TRAK folding Kayak soon. ATB

Awesome adventure, just popped up on my feed. I paddled down Glencoul couple of months back and was hoping to explore loch Glendu on way back but unfortunately didn't get the weather you guys had, so was great to see it on your video. The reflections you captured on the water were beautiful, nice one and Thanks for sharing.
