WOW! That was an Amazing trip. Thanks for taking us with you, and thanks for S/dan for leading me here through his feed. I've seen rock contortions similar on the Lleyn Peninsula. But nothing as spectacular. Those caves "with swell" made me sway on my couch watching lol. Trying to purchase a couple of kayak's myself at mo to go on flats/lakes etc. Maybe one day the sea? Stay careful & great vid.

An absolute pleasure sharing this, one of the top paddles in Wales, I think.

Had some fantastic cliff views with puffins from stackpole quay to church rock in pembrokeshire. Try that mate.

Thanks Dizzy, it is quite an easy trip really as well. If you get a calm day, it is sensational, especially in summer. When you get under the cliffs, it hits you, just how immense they are, we backed off due to the swell. There is a bit of tide off Cemaes Head, and Pwllygranant, but nothing you can't paddle against, the only thing to worry about is, if the wind blows AGAINST the tide, then the sea state gets up, but if there is no wind, then it's not a problem.

Well I can confirm that it's still there Frank and it's an awesome paddle with fantastic cliffs and natural features.

I don't think anyone could not like this trip Alan, usually some good surf at Poppit as well. The other launch at Newport is really good, into the river, and out to sea, or from Newport Sands, usually good surf there as well.

The only place comparable to this, that I've seen was between Boscastle, and Crackington, North Cornwall, but this place is something else. Also the Witches Cauldron is a special little place. If you do get a kayak, the first mile or so from Poppit is a superb beginners trip, with no tides to bother you, and out from Ceibwr Bay would be superb, but is a very tricky launch due to the bouldery beach.

I think Matt stayed at the White Hart, is it the one close to the landing jetty and slip? This, Gordon would make a brilliant beginners trip. Put in at Poppit, and hug the coast to Cemaes Head, there are no tidal problems here at all, there's current at Cemaes Head, but if it's calm, nothing to worry about, so a quick go around the Head, if it's calm is easy, but there is enough before the Head to keep you happy. This remains one of my favourite trips of all of them.

Hi thinking of doing witches Cauldron, from Ceibwr Bay, how far would you say it is from there and do you head north or south out of Ceibwr Bay? Thanks, Awesome Video.

What a timely comment, I have just got back from doing it!!! From Ceibwr, it is less than a mile following the coast South, actually South West. There is little in the way of tidal streams here, but beware, Ceibwr dries out a long way at low water, and is a hideous place to even walk on let alone launch. There are big weed covered stones, many being football sized, and it is quite hazardous. Launching 2hrs or so before high water would be ideal, but a LOT easier if you have help to carry your boat. Beware also that parking is quite limited, if you get there 9am or so, you should be ok though. I put in at Newport Parrog, just after high water, and it was 7 miles to The Witches Cauldron, exploring every bay en-route. The trip from Poppit Sands is the best one though, possibly the best scenery on the Welsh Coast, that's slightly shorter. But what you REALLY need to do, is The Witches Cauldron from Both Poppit AND Newport, it is the LAW that you do this, ha ha.

I used the same settings, as last time, that wasn't the issue. Anyway I've bought that trial version of Vegas £23 .....bargain, so we'll see how it goes. If you do this trip again on a calm sunny summer day, and work all the gullies, and caves, and get under those towering cliffs, I think you will realise this is one of the best trips of the LOT.

Your cheque is in the post Hexed.....ha ha. Thanks, glad you like it, what you aren't aware of, is the support staff employed.......firstly Matt, with all his experience of Sony Vegas, to guide me through the minefield, when it goes wrong, and then there's George O Jungle, my computer expert, who can operate my computer from his house via "Team Viewer" and lastly our Craig with more expertise on downloading, operating Windows 7 and all the other stuff that I am useless at.....It's a Team effort.

All we need is WEATHER.......oh and a wheelbarrow full of money for the Ferry, and We've cracked it. Me and Matt would love to do your coast as well, nothing like paddling somewhere new is there? The weather here at the moment is horrible, I'm sure it's the same for you, just really unsettled, just had hailstones here as well. But it will buck up sometime soon, I'm sure.

Ha ha, like it, this is still one of my favourite trips, if you wan't to do the Witches Cauldron, you can launch at Ceibwr. Parking is limited, and its very bouldery, and awkward, but if someone can help you carry down, it's do-able, and much easier around high water. Check out the Dinas Head video, it's another superb trip, Matt's favourite, until we did Staffa.

Your welcome, I had a torrid time with this one to say the least, think there are some gremlins in the system, but hopefully it's all worth it in the end.

Sounds like something extremely perverted...........ha ha. I'm working on some music, as we speak. Had a problem with the recording studio, and had to do an update from the Boss website, needed an arm in the middle of your chest to perform it, 'Holding two buttons down whilst simultaneously switching the unit on' e.t.c.
