Looks like you guys had a great trip! Some decent weather challenges thrown in to make it an adventure...right? Were you with a special guided tour for the Belugas? I know acess to them is pretty regulated, just wondering. Isn't it great paddling a sea kayak after WW Paddling? Were you tempted to roll at any point;)

Haha yup it wouldn’t be an adventure without a few curve balls! I didn’t go with a guide or anything like that. At the place where they seem to feed a lot, boats are not allowed to go but there is a sea kayaking passage on the inside. You are not supposed to paddle towards them but they were everywhere we didn’t know where to go.... so we just stuck to the passage and tried to keep our distances. A few of them came to check us out though.

How did you get your kayak back to your car if parks canada only allows you to do multi day trips in one direction?

Pay for shuttle service in our case. OrganisAction is who we took

Thanks Marty 😊 another question. Are the campsites reservable? I can't for the life of me find how to reserve a backcountry site on the sepaq webpage. I'm think of doing a short trip and stopping at Anse au Cheval for one night

You do have to book each site along the way. The SEPAQ is a challenging website for their backcountry camp sites… I would just call them
