I randomly searched sea nymph fish n ski because that’s the boat my family has had since 1990. We’ve got this identical boat but with the 40 horse Evinrude. Neat to see another one out there on KZbin!

This is great. I also randomly typed in Sea Nymph Fish and Ski and saw this video. We've owned a 1984 Sea Nymph and fish lakes in Vermont (and ski)! I was going to get a newer boat but my young boys said, "NO WAY! We love this boat!" Getting a bigger motor as they are getting heavier - but man, we love this boat.

We've owned this for 22 years and it's been super fun and versatile. Early on, we mostly pulled kids around on towables. It got a little cramped as everyone got older but then they moved on to school and starting families. If we still have this boat in the future, I'm sure we'll be back to pulling a new generation of young ones. In the meantime, it's been a great fishing platform!

Wonderful boat. I bought the exact same year and model, but it is leaking the owners manual. Do you have one?

I just picked up one of these, does anyone know how you are supposed to hook up ropes for tubing I don't see any hooks, seems strange since its fish n ski?

I do have a question regarding the kicker motor jack, I have the 1990 176 GLS and looking to put said kicker motor jack on it. Being it's not the most friendly of transoms I see you have it mounted very high and looking at the motor it's a short shaft. Was it hard to mount said outboard jack?
@mlcVideography Жыл бұрын
kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y6KWhaGigpeDa8k At some point the transom will probably need to be replaced but so far this mounting technique is holding strong

@@mlcVideography thank-you so much for the video response, will be using a Panther kicker motor jack good up to 123lbs using a 1988 Honda 7.5 motor, most likely for the steering I will be using panther 101 electro steer box that is remote control. Gives me more of a prospective on where and how I should be mounting and bolting the bracket.

@@mlcVideography I should ask, that 70hp Evinrude, does it push your boat 30 to 32mph?
@mlcVideography Жыл бұрын
@@mrconductor144yes. With a couple of us in the boat, the 70hp is quite capable of 32mph

How fast did this boat run?

What cover is that if you don’t mind me asking the canopy connected to the windshield? I have the same boat with a 90hp and I want a tent inclosure feel just like yours thank you so much

The original top wore out and was too low so I took boat to local manufacturer and had custom top made. Just told them what I wanted and approximate hight and this is what they came up with. A large fabric piece zips onto top and snaps around the back of cabin area, making a tent-like enclosure. Another piece snaps to cover the bow area

Where did you get that bimini top?

We have a 1990 SS175. I am replacing the wood transom and some of the flotation foam that has broken down and holding water. Have you replaced your transom yet? If so, is it 2.0 inches thick?
@mlcVideography2 жыл бұрын
I have had to replace the floor but luckily the foam was dry. At this age, I'm sure the transom has dry rot somewhere. I did remove the trim to inspect the top and the wood was 2 inches thick. Tapping on the entire aluminum transom surface I get a fairly solid sounding thud so I'll probably hold off on the job of replacing it for now. Hopefully you can save as much of yours as possible to use as a template when cutting and drilling the new transom
