Speaking on running into other players; there are 5-6 ships on any given server. If you are looking for a more engaging/chaotic server. Server hopping or diving will place you in a new one; knowing what to look for in the sky (FoTD) or on your Map table (reaper/guild ships, etc.) is key. Pro Tip: Raising to reaper 5 emissary will show all the boats on the map table that is currently running any emissary. Though they will not believe you are friendly running Reaper, lol.

If you could not find other players here is a tip to find them: If you watch any skelly ship, you need to know that those npc ships spawn most of the time between two players, so if you look for other players sail in the direction of that skelly ship and in the opposite direction you will find other players.

Just to comment on the “you can play in a solo server” thing. You can’t, not really. Safer seas limits the profits you get, and you are unable to obtain certain items. If you want to play the FULL game, safer seas isn’t really an option.

One of their near past problems was having the seasons last beyond the original length of time because the programmers could not get things correctly, but they’ve guaranteed that won’t happen anymore

Pro tip if you spam your sword on ships bell while spamming block you will instantly get 1 million gold trust me on this

i want to play and have fun, immerse myself into a pirates identity and go searching for treasure etc...i dont want to be a jerk and ruin somebody's time by destroying their ship and taking what they worked for, nor do i want it to happen to me...this is my 1st 2nd and 3rd worry...can i play and enjoy the game without teams of jerks running my experience and making me switch game off never yo play again?...any help or advice would be appreciated thank you

You can play in ''safer seas'' for most of the game content with no pvp at all

@@brianwilliamswillo A caveat, though: Safer Seas drastically reduces your gold gains from selling loot, plus there are some factions that won't happen in Safer Seas. It's more of a way to learn the ropes and play while chilling. Oh, and Safer Seas is perfect to do the Tall Tales (campaigns) as you can focus on them with no risk of interference.

the game would not be fun without the danger of PVP and losing your treasure. you can be more careful and go back to an outpost evry time you have treasure, that way if you are sanked you dont lose much, and in the other hand you can stack your loot for a bigger payday when you decide to sell, but there is more risk involve, what i love about the game is the risk and reward systems, the more risk you take, the more money you can potentialy make, without this mechanic the game would not work in my opinion. there are ways to avoid pVp, you can go to a private server, but in my opinion this is boring and you only make 30% of the money. the other way is to learn to check your ruroundings and get away from trouble as soon as you see it.

As someone who has played 100s of hours of this on xbox, don't worry. Once early access for playstation is done you'll be complaining about how much pvp there is. If you want more pvp, emissary flags and diving for hourglass are a good way to go. And don't forget the emergent world events

Hi, veteran player here, if you see Sea of Thieves as a chill game with few pvp, o boy you are wrong😂. Depending on your loot and activities you are doing and types of crew in your serveur, you can be in a 3-4 boat fight, with constant respawn and fight or just be alone for 4 hours. If you want pvp, wait for pc player because they now what is worth stealing, and if you got good loot, prepare to sink many times.

This games isn't for me it doesn't have any progress and also the mission's don't get more difficult and you fill like you don't even exist in this cutscenes

put 104 hours since it came out on ps5, i love it solo and even more with friends, maybe is just me but this game is the best, also some times i encaunter so many ships and other time i dont find anybody, i think is just baced on luck and also what kind of missions you are doing, the more you do world events and other quests that put you on the radar, the more pvp you will encounter. the game is not for evryone but it 100% is for me :D

sea of thieves was never dead, you simply didn't do anything that would attract the attention of entire server. be thankful for that. Btw you are speaking about content as if that is the point of the whole game, sea of thieves is different, content isn't the point, content is just the catalyst for creating YOUR OWN point. you need SOME objective to work towards to even get a reason to set sail in the first place, that's all it is, just a reason. but not the point. the point is adventure itself and sheer randomness of the game. Btw getting sent to same island over and over isn't a glitch, it's a feature, once you start up a voyage the game will generally try to keep your objectives in the area in which you activated the quest and for early quests that means you will be going to the same island over and over unless you decide to move to the other part of the map THEN active the quest.

Players are everywhere. You didn't encounter many because: 1. As you alluded too, you're playing in prerelease early access for PS. 2. Playstation players can toggle on or off crossplay, thus point 1 and 2 affect each other. 3. There is a designated PVP-mode, Hourglass battle, which it does not seem like you have noticed yet. There you can battle til your heart's content.

Because of the lack of good programmers, they had to limit each server to only five ships. They said that soon hopefully next week they will be adding 6, 7 or 8 ships to each server because they’ve hired more programmers With the new weapons that will be coming out next week, oh I guarantee people will be constantly fighting just to try out those new weapons and new supplies. However, I do believe it is in season 13 they will be coming out with a new ship that is like the man of war and more players can be on it. if you don’t know what that is go back and look at their presentation. I think it was a month ago and they explain what’s coming out in season 12, 13, and 14.

In regards to the amount of people you ran into. I was lead to believe that PS players had their own servers until full release. The game is definitely not dead. You will literally never be in a server by yourself (the game doesn't allow you to be) unless you're in safer sea's. My guess is that the other players on your servers were usually doing their own thing. And if there were veteran players than they probably also were playing on PlayStation (unless I'm mistaken about that first part of my comment)

the pve content itself isnt what makes this game so great, sure it's fun, but when u have a couple hundred hours of pvp experience(atleast on pc)... oh boy does it get fun, a really good example of this is a streamer that goes by "Theb", he barely does any pve but its always fun to see the pvp of this game, especially when the other crew is on hotmic

Yea but Theb also hardcore exploits. that's my only issue with him. HitboTC is really good, someone who does both PvE and PvP and just has fun with the game, no exploits either.

@@stevenzwiesler5104 there is absolutely nothing wrong with exploits, if the game has bugs that work against you atleast make use of the ones you can use to your advantage

@@ecoVPT their is ABSOLUTELY something wrong with exploits and you are blatantly defending cheating if you think otherwise. Their is a map exploit (Theb uses it) that allows you to shoot further than intended from the cannon and dolphin dive out of the water, he ALWAYS used the funny launch on sloop which allowed him to board someone who wasnt even with render distance to his ship, I.E. you never should have been able to board, he constantly uses the animation cancel exploit for double gunning. I'm not going to say he isnt good at the game because he is, but exploiting the way he does and many others do, is nothing short of cheating. BTW, the new delay animation cancel allows you to fire both weapons, fastest time in 1.15 seconds. tell me again how their is nothing wrong with exploits.

@@stevenzwiesler5104 cheating and exploits are two totally separate thing 1 requires you to install a program that makes the game behave in a different way then normal which is bannable, the other is something that is already in the game that everyone can do which isn't bannable

I finally bought SoT on PC a few weeks ago. Let me tell you.. the PC servers will make you a tiger real fast. 😅 (You will sink a lot, but learn a lot). Tall tales take a really long time to get through, but are a real fun break from the frantic paranoia and Pvp of a normal high seas run. Hope PS5 ppl have a blast! (And that their servers are stable).
