Also, going back to the OG games after playing this will give them a whole new perspective and feel! I remember playing them on my Amiga back in the 90s. The pain of swapping disks was worth it for those games :D . Absolutely adored it and to get to walk through these locations and feel like i'm actually RIGHT IN FRONT of the characters, is a dream come true!

I get choked up every time I hear the theme music. These types of adventure games were what made me fall in love with games when I was a kid, and Monkey Island always had a special place in my heart. I can't wait for a new generation to experience this through Sea of Thieves, one of my favorite games now.

You have no idea how big of a deal this is to me. Literally the only reason I started playing Sea of Thieves in the first place was because the tone and art style reminded me of Monkey Island. So to see us literally WALKING IN MELEE ISLAND IN 3D with ALL THE ORIGINAL MONKEY VOICE ACTORS is just incredible. EDIT: Well, the original actors except for the one who portrayed Kate Capsize in MI2:SE, apparently. Tad disappointing, but not surprising, since she had a minor role in the series.

Rare are literally the best game developers in the world. In a time where it seems like content development is suffering in every entertainment medium across the board, these guys are absolutely nailing it. This is pure perfection, thank you Rare, for bring my childhood to life in a way I never imagined was possible. I absolutely can't wait to play this. Walking through these locations is going to be INSANE! 2:49 gave me chills. I can only imagine what it's gonna feel like actually EXPERIENCING it! Going back to play the originals after playing this (which im gonna do) will give a whole new perspective and make them feel different to when I first played them back in the 90s! Can't believe this has been made available COMPLETELY FREE!

Well, not really COMPLETELY free in all caps. It's just "free" only if you have either: - Bought the Sea of Thieves game AND subscribed to the Xbox Live Gold online service - Subscribed to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which is even more expensive than Xbox Live Gold. Not to mention you also have to own a Microsoft system, either an Xbox One/Series console or a Windows PC with a good enough graphics card, which not everyone has. Plus if you have other gaming consoles you're out of luck. This is a Microsoft exclusive after all. I know Game Pass Ultimate is not too bad of a deal with all the games you get to play and all that, but not everyone might be interested in those extra games, and having to meet all the above criteria hardly qualifies as free anyway, unless you were already a Sea of Thieves player or an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate user, which is probably NOT the case of the majority of old Monkey Island players. In my case I even had to buy an Xbox console (since my PC can't run this game properly) in addition to purchasing the game and the Gold subscription just to be able to play this. All this benefits Microsoft. So it's hardly CoMpLeTeLy FrEe. I mean, you have to pay one of the two mentioned subscription services to be able to even start the game! It's like saying watching movies on Netflix is "free" because you don't have to pay extra to watch each one of them.

Fun little things, the dart board from the Scumm bar is broken in corner and when you go under water, like a certain pirate, you can hold your breath for quite a while 😂 absolutely love this ❤

You guys nailed it when it came to the Scumm Bar theme, its by far my favorite song next to Becalmed in Sea of Thieves. Also the skeleton head you take on a tour of the town was the best, so thank you.

I haven't played for a year, and i have a sea of thieves channel.... I hate all the things wrong with the game, but only because I love the game, there's nothing like it. I came back for this, not having played monkey island, but I absolutely LOVE this tall tale. Did it solo, was a little bit of a challenge, not to much and the voice acting, puzzles, atmosphere its just great. Love this.

What I love about sea of thieves and it’s now multiple crossovers is that sea of thieves has never had a dlc that just felt like a cash grab. There is love put into it and that’s what makes sea of thieves and rare so special

I must say, Thank you so much for bringing Monkey Island into Sea of thieves, it was thanks to this game it drew me into the world of Sea of thieves, the music/the art work you guys have nailed each and everything, I appreciate this piece of work and it will stay with me till the end of time. The monkey Island games saw me through my entire childhood and I love sea of thieves now, I'm 100% here for this, I also think/hope this will work in reverse too with a lot of SoT players going to check out Monkey Island for the first time. While I started the tall tale, I noticed two things, one, the shipwright at any outpost is humming the Monkey Island theme and some other tune I don't know, and two, the Fiddle instrument is finally revealed in game! Is this new update teasing we're finally getting the FIDDLE and two SHANTIES we hear from shipwrights at some point!? I hope so!

Bought this game 10 days ago and I love it. Completed the tall tales and on my way to Pirate Legend. I wish to support the developer by buying the pet and other stuff however I decided not too. The reason because within 10 days of playing the game, I encountered hacker two times. The hacker can teleport to your ship, kill you and teleport back to his ship. Why I want to support a game that full of hacker or cheater ?
