Hurrah for Season 10! Biggest Questions (that will most likely be answered tomorrow): At 3:57 it shows off the Emissary table for Guilds and the UI says "increase your Guild Emissary Grade by completing Guild activities. This will earn you more rewards from selling treasure to the Sovereigns and increasing your status in the Guild Ledger. What *are* the guild activities? And does this mean Guild Rewards are a flat boost to gold and/or rep to all trading companies, similar to how Reaper's is a flat boost to all treasure turned in there?

Just speculation but, it looks like Guild will be borderline "Reaper" in progress - anything and everything you do for other factions whilst flying your Guild flag will go towards the guild progress.

I've been looking for any evidence that shows that you get more gold, specifically, and I haven't found it. It could be just a boost to emissary value and guild reputation. As for how you increase grade, I have no clue. Either it's like Reaper's Bones, or it is something that the guild leader can decide.

Update Idea: Make there a Guild Queue mode where small fleets of guilds, meaning 2-3 ships at a time in each guild, can set out to sea in sync, in the same session. At least add something so that a group can have its fleet operating in the same session, I think a lot of players would have good fun using this feature and make it easier for people who like having fun times with larger groups be able to play made up mini-games or people who grind the game to work as a bigger group than ever seen before. You could also add balancing features to make it so AI enemies lurk more often considering less real players are "Thieves" IF YOU like this idea please give it a like to S.O.T. devs might see this I think it would be awesome!

Guilds are fine but its not the only thing coming. Next Month we have a New event that Will be very PvP Focus. And in december we Will have safer sees. Its a great gamemode to get Friends into the Game or for noobs. Sometimes this Game its a little nightmare for noobs, they can learn the basic and later play adventure. In my opinion we had worst season like S2, S5, the last season etc.

It would be awesome if you were able to call reinforcements. Imagine being in distress from enemy Reapers, and you need more help. You use some kind of in game feature to request assistance from other ships within your guild or an allied guild, and any ship that accepts the call (within the same server or not) will do that cool ascend into the depths animation similar to hourglass, and resurface alongside the lead ship. It would be awesome!

Rare, if it's possible in your next update, please clean up the UI in the pause menu. Its nearly impossible to find things, for returning players and especially new players. There's too many tabs, an equipment radial (which serves no purpose) and way too many bilge rat commedations, pirate milestones, ship milestones, reputation, faction commendations, trials, and now soon to be guild milestones. My buddies and I played the game for close to a year without ever finding the emissary value rewards. The menu's are incredibly confusing and cluttered! Please tidy it up!

Its not a bad idea, but after the drought we've had the better part of this entire year personally I would've preferred something else. It seems like more menus and more milestones to try and fill the enormous content void the game has had since the launch of season 9 or even season 8. The other new features that are coming supposedly from season 11 aren't exactly headline major features either. Its all sort of just ok and nothing amazingly special. Hell the thing I'm most excited for is quick swap nerf, hit reg improvements and sword combat re-balancing.

There's a lot of weirdly missed opportunities for customization considering the whole idea is to make it feel like a living and cohesive group. Was disappointed that the ship set was just generic cosmetics, and that they didn't change based on your guild colors/emblem/etc. Same thing with the role uniforms: Neat idea, but one I feel could've been implemented more creatively considering the context.

I've been playing this game for 500 hours, and I have nothing to do in it. There are no new events in the game, for example, merchant ships that are guarded by other ships, you can attack them and take all the loot. New interactions with sea forts, perhaps some kind of expansion of the map with the addition of new content. But instead of something new, we get guilds for 24 people, do you all have 23 friends? What will you do in "24 people", go through boring events again? I really love this game and would like to play it, but time goes by, and apart from the tale and all sorts of minor changes, nothing appears, it's very sad.

It would be cool if we could join others from the guild with our ship, so we could have two ships in one server. Edit: I was thinking about this because i have four friends that want us to sail together, but can't happen because you can have four people on a galeon. And so i though, since we are five people, three of us can stay on a brig, and the other two can sail on a sloop close to us. like a fleet, but sadly, i haven't found a way to invite or join a friend with another ship.

I love this game, I’ve been here since the beta. But unfortunately I no longer have the same amount of people who share my love and loyalty to SOT. I have 1 friend that shares my love and will regularly play with me. I have to beg just to get enough people to bust out a galleon. But most nights it’s just me and a sloop. I mostly boils down to my console friends don’t want to play with PC players and hackers and the same with PC friends, they are tired of the hackers.

For solo players doing nothing but soloing, it's still something as you can join a guild and add to the progress of it and get it's rewards, you're still a part of something bigger. If you're solo because you don't have friends who play then this acts as a more streamlined lfg to get into a crew doing what you want to do faster. Ok aside from having a friends list and ships as part of the guild, I think it looks exactly like everything else added to the game, here is 1000 levels of xp to grind, more cosmetics, and not much that looks new or exciting, " safer seas" mode is cool for new players, but boring for legends who just want to play without being harassed, and could have been an excellent addition to guilds like " guided seas" congratulations you unlocked guided seas for playing say 1000 hours of high seas or whatever

Be cool if Guild Mates could queue into a session across multiple ships. Like, you've got 8 friends that wanna play together, maybe they can enter their own 'safer seas' version of the game where its just them, and can do stuff together in a sort of alliance situation. Tune it so it's not exploitable for some advantage or whatever. I know my group of friends were all pumped about guilds thinking it would be a social hub and allow us all to play together and were pretty disappointed when we found it it wasn't.

Not to be that person, but was this really a 5 month season to make? No new world events or treasure? I understand the siren skull but that isn’t even out yet. I absolutely love the guilds idea, but the game would do better with different treasure earning methods and activities to do on the seas.

Player upgrades, special skills for each pirate would be amazing. if your a fat pirate you are more tanky with different skills! And your dog can find treasures... I can talk days about content

This is amazing! And it makes me very happy. Now, when can we get a feature that allows a fleet to join the same server? It would be amazing to have 3 or 4 of my friends sailing our own ships and doing the same quests. Maybe with open crews to recruit or just 16 people from my existing 23 year old multi-game Guild sailing together doing a Tall Tale together.

It would be great if you could do a loading island. Sorta like the pre game lobby in Fortnite, accept it’s only your crew. All your captained/Guild ships are at a dock and you can hop on which one and decide which you want, you can customise it, customise your character. Then you hop on the ship and drop sails and that’s when you “Set Sail” and it then takes you to the loading screen. Adds extra time I guess but would be fun to see all your ships lined up in a dock… maybe you could customise your dock, or the whole island and add different levels of emissary buildings from the gold hoarders tent, to the awesome shop like at port merrick…. What’s everyone’s thoughts?

Sailing Captained Ships and Guild stuff shouldn't be completely barred from safer seas. If the whole point of Guilds is 'just having fun with friends' than there is no harm in at least sailing your guilded ships together and earning some basic cosmetics. No Reapers and Athenas stuff I get but not the Guild stuff being barred.

This is a good question. I suspect not, since guild names seem to be set up similarly to ship names (e.g. 20 character limit).

Why did you tell us that our ships would no longer be usable outside of guilds during captains week? its kind of ridiculous that you would have an event where extra ships would be discounted and yet the majority of the players had no idea you were introducing a guild system that heavily relied on you having multiple ships. you could have saved people literally MILLIONS of gold....

fail to see how in game guilds would create any kind of social connection outside of the session compared to how it is now..... its not like you invented your own discord style chat program with guilds. its literally just an in game friends list. you cant even message people in game via the guild system and its the first time i have seen a guild in a game that you are segregated from your other guild members.... "progress together.... but on separate servers from each other" and whats the point of the 24 player limit? because thats how many people used to be allowed on a server in year 1 of the games release? or just because you wanted to arbitrarily restrict how fast a guild could potentially rep up.

so to play with your whole guild you all need to fire up a vpn, click setsail on a count down at the same region ie New York and keep setting sail over and over till you get a 6 ship match. then safer seas full profit guild edition.

Least wanted addition to the game. This is why season 10 took so long? Try again guys. Maybe start with bringing back arena? Or a smoother pvp experience? Here's a wild idea, allocate some money towards server stability. I shouldn't have 90 ping on NA servers with a fiber connection. Wasn't the pirate lord supposed to call upon me to use the veils powers at one point? I would like solid proof that the people sitting at the board meeting who come up with these wild ideas actually play the game on a regular basis.

of flame hearts return. yea this is a total pve update. the siren skull is a nice addition for pvpers i guess but its just going to turn into another reapers chest and just be ignored. they see the numbers and know what theplayer base is upto. i suspect safer seas is to ease people into the idea of pve servers. and guilds will get full pve mode eventually with no restrictions outside of hourglass. the game is dying and it needs to evolve to bring the pve only crowd back so they can keep paying into the cash shop

The idea of Fleet vs Fleet is awesome, but after a month or so you would struggle to find a match at all. In my central europe region I have to wait ~ 20min for Galleon hourglass on a good day. I don't even think Arena like randome 3v3 ships matchmaking would be fun to wait for after the initial hype is over.

I live in one of the most populated regions in all of Germany and the last time I queued on weekend with some friends it took waaaaaaaay longer to get matches. Here's my take on guilds. It's a more streamlined lfg, and I'm all for that. As a dad without much time to play (and therefore tend to play more casually), I'd love to be able to join a guild of other like-minded parents with similar schedules who share the same difficulties. It means I can cut through all the lfgs of hg sweats. If you're into fishing you can join a fishing guild and know that any time you join a crew you'll just be kicking back yoinkin up trophies. Whatever you want, there's bound to be a guild for it. Let's actually use this feature to our advantage rather than complain about it, cause we're getting it either way.

We guild battles and the ability to host custom HG matches within the guild. You wouldn’t gain any HG rep just level within the guild.
