@@BruceWayne-bn9pl Secretariat only raced in USA against USA horses so we will never know how good he would have been against European horses.Frankel won the 2000 guineas but No Derby and No Arc.

@@BruceWayne-bn9pl Secretariat was pumped with drugs and Frankel was just a miler. Remember that STS ran 2009 with a medical condition. It´s almost like running in the 400m with a cold while the others are fit. All of them were great, but STS´s 2009 run with all the circumstances etc. is one of the top3 horse racing moments and achievements.

His pedigree with Cape Cross who was primarily a miler on his top side might've suggested that 12f was about as far as Sea The Stars would've wanted, but he was always such a cool and relaxed horse before and during his races that I really believe he would've gotten the St Leger distance and had a real chance of winning the English Triple Crown had John Oxx given him the chance to go to Doncaster instead of sending him to Leopardstown to run in the Irish Champion Stakes at 10f. I'm pretty certain he had the class it would've taken to have run down the Godolphin pair of Mastery & Kite Wood in that renewal of the Ladbrokes St Leger, IMO.
