Sea to Source / Hard Adventure w. Chris Birch

I needed a challenge and the South Island of New Zealand truly delivered on this one!
My friend Charlie and I decided to go the hard, but extra fun way following the river from sea to alpine in search of an epic high-country hut to overnight in. It was worth a few scratches, falls and every bead of sweat!

True that. Word of advice for ppl trying to replicate it with KTM. Don't do the water stuff. Their electrical connections are crap and you will get stuck. You can try to waterproof them of course.

I just want to say - I watched this video on Kriega's homepage. Had to watch it entirely there to find out your name at the end in the credits and look it up on KZbin. Excessively good video that shows what it's like to be riding. No over-the-top sponsor shouting with great product display. I'm a kriega fan and went there looking for another bag - It's the first time I stopped for 10 minutes on the homepage of a retailer to watch a video. That was awesome.

Great video. Really enjoyed it. As an 1190R owner who pretty much bough one because of Chris' videos I am blown away by his riding level. It is not easy to do what he does on a 1x90R. That said they are super fun bikes to push to the limits.

I saw the KTM 1290 adventure R in a showroom this week. It’s the first time I’ve seen one live. It’s beautiful, and it is massive! It’s intimidating just to stand next to it , let alone jump over creeks and go up rocks like Chris does here. You’re driving it like it’s a 250 enduro ha! Amazing skills Chris! Blows my mind!
