Oooh, first! Now to think of something good to say......nup....got nothing. So....Ben, please answer my question on Companion gas bottle compatibility with Coleman FyreKnight stoves that I posted on the stove page :D I'm not the only one who has found they don't seem to work or not all do. Thanks for all the reviews too!

If it hasn't already been answered, it's likely Lauren will be working through those questions, Jarrah, you'll get notified when a response comes through. ~ Ben

@@SnowysOutdoors Thanks Ben. I have since bought a few bottles and they do work. However, some of the Companion bottles have poor thread machining or the bottom few threads are clogged with green paint and these won't twist into the regulator far enough to release the gas. Could possibly wire brush them but I wasn't going to do that before returning. But I can confirm for others that these bottles do work with the Coleman Hyperflame regulator. Just check the bottles before you buy them 👌

I have the Sea to Summit Ascent 3 Regular sleeping bag that I need to carry on top of my rear bicycle rack. Would this style of bag be waterproof enough for this use? If yes, what size is recommended for my S2S Ascent 3 sleeping bag? If no, is there another type and size of dry bag that would be better suited? Cannot risk getting sleeping bag wet! (I like the way this bag compressed the contents down, so I could use it instead of the compression sack that came with the sleeping bag.) Cheers Kathleen.

This dry bag should do the job, Kathleen, it's 100% waterproof, just not submersible. I'd recommend the Large size (20L), the Ac3 is about 14L when compressed and the large compression sack goes from a maximum volume of 20L down to 6.7L compressed, so the compressed volume of the Ac3 fits nicely in this range. ~ Ben

Does it let water out? Say I had a bunch of wet clothes and wanted to put in my backpack without getting other things wet.

No, it will keep the water in also. ~ Ben

I'm a noob. Nobody ever says what size to get for a sleeping bag. I have a kelty cosmic
@SnowysOutdoors6 ай бұрын
Size depends on the bag, the insulation fibre/quality, and the recommendation from the manufacturing brand in terms of compression level I cant find any specification info on the Kelty bags through their website, so Id get intouch with them - it'd probably be a M or L ~ Lauren

Hi, what size should I get for 1.2kg down sleeping bag and 1.5kg synthetic sleeping bag?
@SnowysOutdoors6 ай бұрын
It's hard to recommend purely based on weight. I'd recommend measuring the original bag it came with and either working out the volume or using the length and diameter to find something that comes close, then add a little extra for the liner. All these dimensions are on our website. ~ Ben

5 litre or 8 litre, what's the best size?, . For jackets couple of t shirts ect... Please
@SnowysOutdoors9 ай бұрын
Depends on the type and size of jacket. I'd suggest going for 8L as you can easily compress but you can't make extra space. ~ Ben

Can these be used to pack down clothing to maximize space for a backpack when traveling?
@SnowysOutdoors Жыл бұрын
Yeah absolutely - obviously for things like down jackets it would make a massive difference. Not sure how much more compressed something like a normal t-shirt would get, but it would help. ~ Lauren
