Good choices all round I think. Had my own V163, a really impressive and capable little sea boat, and reckon the same, one of those 17L's would do the job nicely and not too big to store and tow. Those ETEC's looked to be fab too- very sad to see they are no longer around.

Awesome boat !!! That whole transom section is awesome!!! If I still lived in Hawaii that would be perfect setup for Blue Water Hunters

Beautifully shot, informative video of an impressive resto. This boat is a prime example of the fact that dynamite comes in small packages, and still gets the job done better than almost anything else.

Looks like it's continuously porpoising, unless that's rolling sea's

Rolling sea and going 35 knots. When out in the boat we do load up the front with gear which does help keep her balanced better though.

Mate that's awesome! Got the same motor on my 6 mtr cruisecraft galaxy. Absolutely love it so far. Getting 42 knots with a 19 P rebel at 5850 rpm. Are U running a Viper? What pitch?

How hard was it to build the pods and push the transom back?

Hey mate what's the lowest speed you can drive the boat while on the plane ?
@grundyproductions72484 жыл бұрын
With 3 people on board and in a flat sea it is about 17knots due mainly to the 22degree V at the transom.

What fuel tank did you put in? Did you do a built in Vinyl Ester tank?

Awesome boat by the way, im currently doing up a bonito, adding a pod etc. Used your boat as a guide, Thanks for the videos brother!
@grundyproductions72484 жыл бұрын
@@phillspearsfish Hey mate, the fuel tank is epoxy layed with double bias mat. Vinyl is the way to go just dont use any ethanol additives with your fuel and make sure your baffles are strong and glassed to all 4 sides so they dont flex.

Was there much weight added in the boat?
@grundyproductions72484 жыл бұрын
Hey Joey, We put the Batteries up front and also a fresh water tank which is great for washing yourself down after a dive. The pod was made to float 180kg to help give lift at rest. I hope that helps answer your question.

@@grundyproductions7248 thats cool! im currently looking at one to buy, it has been foamed filled and extra layers of mesh added. on the trailer with 140L of fuel, and 185 suzuki its weights 1850kg what does yours weigh
