Miss Gregg and missed him - a few years ago (12.7.2011): Had my ticket for his show at Tollwood Summer Festival in Munich, waited for hours right at the entrance gate, ready to go front row. Then someone shouted out concert was cancelled due to Gregg's serious liver problems. Too bad! Most of the people went home, deeply disappointed. I checked into the festival tent because Gregg's opener band was announced to play a full concert. Luckily I stayed, together with about 50 other guys. All of us were totally thrilled at once from the moment they played the first notes, and within 20seconds everybody found himself dancing and cheering. It was Robert Randolph's Family Band which wasn't too famous at that time in Europe, but at the end of their free two set concert there were about 1000 excited people in the tent - they had heard outside Robert's pedal steel and the power of the band and it lured them like the pied piper's flute. I don't want to imagine that Gregg surely would have played a few songs with Robert!
