As someone who lives in Rochester NY i appreciate you showcasing our local theme park.

You would have loved Jack Rabbit here, prior to 2000….when it had the old trains with buzz bars. The airtime was good. The carousel is a gem too. Thanks for showcasing this cute old park

Jack rabbit opened in 1920 and fun fact it opened a few months before the Kennywood jack rabbit and it was the first roller coaster with upstop wheels

Yeah we knew they were opened right around the same time I just had 27 in my mind for whatever reason

Wow, so lucky that was caught and nothing permanent is going to happen. Looking forward to the day when you can get back into the parks for yourself.

Overall a nice review of my local park. I do wish you had spent a bit more time focusing on the carousel. The original was lost to a fire in 1994 that also took the arcade, Fun House and dark ride. The owners decided to replace it with all hand carved/hand painted wooden animals. The Bobsleds was designed and built in house, making it a true one-of-a-kind ride. The Carousel, The Jack Rabbit and The Bobsleds are true gems of this park.

they have to do the pricing how they do because of the city of rochester inner city population that organizes fights in the park used to happen a lot until they changed up rules and raised prices if I remember right they used to do the per ride tickets for a few years until those fights started

Longest continuously operating roller coaster in the United States(since 1920).
@robertd78795 ай бұрын
The Jack Rabbit opened in 1920. It pre-dates Kennywood's by a few months. 2nd oldest in the US and oldest continually operating coaster in the US. It was the 1st to use upstop wheels allowing faster speeds. The Bobsleds were created from what was a junior wooden coaster. The park owner George Long visited Disneyland and the Matterhorn Bobsleds there were his inspiration. This was built in house. Seabreeze went from free admission to gated several decades ago to keep riff raff out. This allows them to keep it clean and family friendly. They used to offer a walk around pass which allowed entry and two ride coupons... this was great for grandparents.

Congratulations on getting the Jamaican train! It’s wild you’ll said your favorite train on MF is yellow and that’s the one I’m always looking forward to getting on too! I’ve never heard of the park you’re displaying today, thanks for the walk through. Seems like a nice little family park. I agree, that it would make since to pay as you go instead of a flat rate. Thanks for another great vlog yinz guys. Hope everything is well and yinz are having safe travels. I look forward to your next Vlog! Stay awesome!

Bobsleds was actually a kiddie woodie at one time. The park converted it to tubular steel track bobsled themed coaster after the Disneyland Matterhorn sometime soon after.

That park looked like a hoot and that baby Turtle was cute. What are some of the cool attractions in the area for future travelers? I know they have a cool baseball park. When yall go out, is it just the parks and restaurants or museums too? I love your channel for many years.
@BeachcliffStudios6 ай бұрын
It depends on the trip, sometimes it’s for amusement parks, sometimes we do a bunch of other stuff, and sometimes no amusement park at all lol

In Rochester you can see the high falls, very pretty right in downtown alongside some nice food and night life activities, there's also a very cute theater called the Little Theater nearby which hosts small indie artists and stuff. Gotta get the wings, they're a buffalo thing but rochester is super close and we also have great wings. If you're into hiking chimney bluffs is a must see looking over lake ontario. There's a nice minigolf course near seabreeze as well.
@CaptainAtria5 ай бұрын
Also yeah the baseball park is pretty cool
@ScottyMania3135 ай бұрын
@@CaptainAtria Thanks for the tips. I know Wings are huge in the area. I love great Wings myself. I'm a Lions fan, but love the Buffalo Bills because Eastern Michigan University and Wyoming were the only two colleges to accept Josh Allen, so I kinda root for them. As a fan of Chicken Wings, I know NY is the place to be. In Detroit, we have Sweetwater Tavern Wings and they are filling. So if you're ever in Motown, I highly recommend it. It's like Buffalo Wing meets BBQ wing and them things are on steroids. I appreciate you

That's still a lot cheaper that SixF Fiesta TX in San Antonio. And I think I would prefer the older park anyway because 6F has too many newer rides with twists and spins that I can't do unfortunately.

Jack Rabbit (both of them) is from 1920, not 1927. And I have the kiddie credit at Seabreeze! When I went it was essentially an extension of 2021 coaster con in terms of a coaster trip. There were a few of us there, we just said we were ACErs and the operator let us ride.
@AroundIndiana6 ай бұрын
It's nice they don't play music. Sometimes that is better. I was at Kings Island today and for some reason the music was up so loud. It was almost like they were pranking us.

The admission price is probably the one thing that has kept me from going to this park. I think it would be a good idea for them to have a pay per ride system for the dry park or a ride only pass. To have all tickets "ride and slide" is a bit of a bummer. At the very least, an evening hours admission. At this point I may as well wait another six years when I'm 60 and save about half price or even better go on a Tuesday and get in for free!
